My boyfriend and I went to Holmes Harbor Cellars for the first time this past weekend. Jerry served us and he took really good care of us. He was very cordial, hospitable, and knowledgeable about all of the wines and the winemaker. And the wines we tasted were very impressive! Delicious! Especially the whites! I was highly impressed with their... More

Loved their wine. Excellent tasting choices. Bought some cabernet. Had to get ribeyes to go with it. Beautiful garden with tables and chairs to enjoy with a great view of Holmes Harbor. Knowledgeable, friendly staff too. It's a must to visit on South Whidbey Island.

Stopped here on our recent week long stay on Whidbey Island. The wines were okay, not great. Very nice setting up on a hill with a nice view. The fellow manning the tasting room was pleasant and seemed fairly knowledgable. Our only complaint was that the tastings were a light in terms of volume, probably not even an ounce.

We love this place! The wines are so good. They are crafted onsite by Greg and Theresa- two people committed to the art and the science of winemaking. I love their 3-Wire Red, their Merlot, Cabernet Savignon, Malbec, Port, I could keep going on. Great stuff. You won't want to miss this place!

This was a fine way to wrap up our Red Wine and Chocolate Tour on Whidbey Island. The selection of red and white wines was very interesting and their own chocolates fit the scene perfectly. This was a comfortable settle with helpful vintners to explain all their brands of wines for our enjoyment.

What a treat! This was a lovely little winery with an assortment of great wines to try. The gentleman doing the tasting also had some great stories to share. I went home with a bottle of the Semillon, which was so delicious!

Owned by a retired Naval aviator and commercial pilot and his chemist-wife, Holmes Harbor Cellars has a pleasant and inviting atmosphere. Our tasting room attendant that day was Jerry, who was both personable and highly knowledgeable about the history of the winery and local happenings. He was extremely helpful with information about each wine and also showed us the winery’s... More

I have tasted the newly released 2011 Zinfandel (date if not an error). Great color and taste. I enjoy it along with particularly the Cab Franc, Carmenere, Petit Verdot and Red Etude blend as very special wines. All of the wines are appealing. I understand that more varietals are coming soon. I think that the Wine Club here is the... More

This is a lovely, unpretentious winery. I have been to several area wineries and this was by far the most enjoyable. The owners are friendly, knowlegeable and they make terrific wine. I learned a great deal about the wines and wine-making but it was not like a canned presentation. I felt like I was just having a great conversation with... More

We have been to Holmes Harbor Cellars a number of times. It is a very friendly place with great wines and many opportunities to taste and celebrate their current vintages. On a beautiful property, it is a great place to stop, and then come by again!
