Incredible railroad history. Tunnels are awsome, river views are beautiful. Lots of slides in recent years. Extreme caution if you cross these. Have rescued a few people out of the river. Actually walking old railway. Lime kiln trail is other side of river. That’s cool...More

Grab a backpack with basic essentials. Easy trail to the canyon floor, however, it's switchbacking a steep grade on the return.

This is a pretty easy hike along the river with the steep part at the beginning and end. Lots of waterfalls and neat birds to check out. Looked like part of it was closed though.

A nice 6-7 mile hike in a mossy wooded forest area with small waterfalls and artifacts. A roaring river nearby. Nice trail but a little muddy at times. Bring water and a snack. Elevation changes but gradual.

Hiked along here in September. Well marked trail through a wooded area. Good place to 'bird by ear' too. There is a small parking lot right by the trailhead.

I have done this hike many times over the years and enjoyed it every time. The trail has changed over the years due to many wash outs and land slides. The trail is a little treacherous in some spots as it runs along a very...More

This is a nice easy walk for anyone who is in average health. Small hills and fairly level terrain make this a good day hike. beautiful views and historical artifacts along the trail almost takes you back to the days that the railroad was operating....More

This is a nice walk for a picnic if you don't go past the first tunnel, just don't forget about the switchbacks on the way back. But if you want to explore further the trail is closed and can be dangerous, when I was younger...More

Old Robe Trail has some fun tunnels dating back to the time they used rail for mining in the canyons. The tunnels and rail ties are still present. The trail starts nicely enough as it drops into the canyon where there are campsites. Getting from...More
