Very nice winery with great seating and views of the river. Taste flight is $20 but that us waved if u purchase $30 of wine. Unfortunately the Chef had a family emergency so food choices were limited.

We went for lunch and wine tasting.
When we arrived Kristen our server explained
that they were shorthanded, please have a seat. She asked us to please be patient with them and we’ll be taken care of and she was right….
Kristen was fabulous! She took wonderful care of us. Even though she was super busy she took the time to be friendly and treat us like friends instead of paying customers! And of course it’s a plus that she took time to say hello to our two fur babies!
Thanks muches

Maryhill winery treats customers “generically”

Maryhill is more worried about their brand than their customers.

On June 5th my Friends and I came to Woodinville for a farewell and wine tasting day. We live over an hour from Woodinville. While there we stopped by the Maryhill tasting room. I tried a wine I enjoyed and asked about purchasing a case. Without stating that they were currently out of that particular wine, I purchased a case. I paid for the case and was told they were getting it for me. I was then informed they did not have it, and I would need to return another day the next week to get it. Specifically, I was informed that it would be available in a week and that I would also receive two complimentary tastings for the trouble.

After waiting a month without receiving even a courtesy call, I called Maryhill after the July 4th weekend. I was informed by Morgan Overholt that Maryhill still did not have it, but she promised they would call back the next week and it would be there.

A month after that initial call, on August 5th, Morgan finally called to say it was in. She told me they would have the case for me when I came in, and that I would still get two tastings due to the extensive delay and lack of communication.

I informed Morgan I could not come in that weekend, but I would be available to drive up to Woodinville the weekend of 14 August. Morgan stated she would be there and I could come retrieve the case and enjoy my tastings.

The same weekend she said I could come in, (today the 14th of August) my husband, two friends, and I drove over an hour to Woodinville. We decided to visit Maryville and celebrate our anniversary, pick up the wine, and enjoy our tasting. Even though it was two months late, at least the case of wine was finally there and we could enjoy our tastings.

Imagine my surprise when we show up to the winery and Maryhill is closed for a special event. We walked in and were met by several people standing around wondering why we were there. When we informed them who we were they said “oh sorry it’s upstairs” but you won’t be able to do the tasting.

Epic views

Decided to detour on our drive home and stop by for some wine tasting. What an awesome setting for a winery overlooking the vineyard and river! Stunning! The partially covered patio was perfect for enjoying lunch and a wine tasting. The wine tasting came with 7 different wines which was perfect for deciding what I liked best. Their white wine definitely was better than their reds, although I did purchase a bottle of Primitivo which was delicious. The food is a little pricier for what you get, but I guess you are paying for the views. Definitely would stop again and enjoy a lovely break on the drive home.

Rving nearby. We had a delightful day at the winery. We were seated right away outside. The view was awesome. We had a great waitress that checked on us regularly and I noticed that the others were busy also. All the patrons appeared to be having a nice time. Of course the wife purchased a few bottles of wine for our travels.

Sadly, we just could not get service after the initial drink order. When we arrived, there were almost as many staff as customers, so I don’t understand the reason for the poor service. And the food (pulled pork and cheese platter) were even worse. We ordered a bottle of wine and had to hunt a server down (twice) to get it after our food sat in front of us for 10 minutes. I’ve been a food server and I couldn’t help but wonder if they were in need of re-training on customer service.

They had 5 different people randomly come to our table and none of them pulled the empty wine flight (a really large bridge-like wooden holder with 6 glasses) on a small table. It was hard to know “who” to flag down for help because they would all make themselves scarce (like a hit-n-run type of service).

I do have a pet peeve and that’s when a much younger server comes up to older customers and treats them like we’re their high school buddies with, “Hey guys, what’s going on?” Guys? Too casual. Perhaps read the room and adjust your delivery to the type of audience?

In the end, they apologized for the service without our saying anything—like they knew. Then, the server started offering to not charge us for this or that, but it didn’t compensate for the sub-par service. Like we were supposed to say, “Oh, thank you so much.” Not a memorable experience.

Best Wine Tasting Experience
May 2021 • Couples
Staff were so warm and helpful at this winery. Wines were of good quality although this depends on your likes and dislikes. Loved the Cabernet Franc and the Albariño; mouth watering and full bodied.
A must stop for a great wine tasting experience.

Beautiful Setting for a Glass of Wine
May 2021 • Couples
We always enjoy stopping here for a glass of wine and a snack on our way through. The view from the patio is beautiful as you sit on a warm day. I think it is a bit high priced for single glasses but we still enjoyed our visit.

“Have we checked out?”
Apr 2021 • Family
Wine was okay, pickled crudités were subpar but acceptable, but after my family of color dropped some money and was asked on our way out, “Have we checked out?” — I would neither return nor recommend. Harsh but true. Wise up or make way. How can I make these apps care about this issue?
