We randomly stopped here on our trip from Edmonds to Bellevue and we are glad we did. Wanted to get out the car and relax for a little while and let the kids swim and they had a blast not only swimming but looking at all the cool shells washed up on the beach. There are little private areas with picnic tables which would be perfect for small families. Downside is the hills and steep steps to get there but you have a beautiful view all the way down just maybe not for those who are unable to handle uneven/ steep terrain.

Gorgeous, lush area with trails. Easy parking. Not many people the weekday we went, even with perfect weather. Sat on the beach a while and went in the water up to our thighs-warmer than expected. Perfect!

just a few miles from the caotic Narrow Bridge and Tacoma area this park offers a peaceful break . I went there in December walking thru the wood and on the beaches .it depends on the moon and the hours but in certain periods of low tide you can walk on a carpet of oysters and clams . Don't pick them up ! You need to get a licence and you can do it only in certain times .

It was a fun balance exercise to jump from parking stop to parking stop with my son, and made a good warm up for going down the hill. Actually...it was more exercise than the hike. For those who like an easy hike, this is it. If you like a bit more of a walk, there are side trails you can take with some of the biggest salal plants and other berry bushes I've ever seen. The best part? The view. The Sound inlets are gorgeous and the island can be seen from the beach and parts of the trail. It beckons enough that come summer, we want to kayak to it. Lovely park. The parking lot and trails need a bit of work and no doubt did even pre storm, but this place is so worth it for some great family time, a bit of fresh air, the trees, and the view.

My friend and I enjoyed walking along the beach here. It is a short walk downhill from the parking lot with nice views of the water.
