This course has great views of the Puget Sound and Mount Rainier. There is a driving range and the club house serves great food.

Just recently played the course with some golfing friends and had a great time. Course was in great shape even though it is the middle of winter. We were treated with first class by the staff at the course throughout the day, from the pro shop (they told there is a brand new one coming this summer....cool!) to the food and beverage folks. Super reasonable pricing for 18 holes on a course that offers so many distance options. We played their Blue/White mix and enjoyed the different yardage options. Definitely coming back and next time will walk the course as it is perfect for that.

Had been a member at The Home Course for three years, logging well over 300+ rounds...will definitely miss my weekly treks over the grounds and stunning views of the Olympic Mountains. THC is a friendly track that allows players of any calibre to have an enjoyable round...five sets of tees from 5600 to 7500 yards allows you to bite off as much as you can chew. Lots of room off the tee for shots of practically any flight or style, with the approach shot and putting the key to a good score. Daily fees with or without carts are offered as well as annual memberships...which is a real bargain if you play at least 4 times a month. Walking twice a week, you really start to do your heart & wallet some good.

A largely open course on a plateau that somewhat overlooks the sound, this is an open course without a lot of separation, i.e. trees, in-between holes. You sign up out of a trailer, perhaps a work-in-progress, then head out on the course when the man who monitors such things announces and waves you to go. Unfortunately, we got stuck with a single who plays there every week and plays a lot better and faster than we did, not a good situation for either party. However, early in the back 9, it wasn't clear where the next hole, and having a regular to the course to guide us was quite helpful. The holes are of decent length, with a lot of sand traps but not a lot of water. As the course is out in the open, there aren't a lot of shady areas to catch a break on a hot day, as was the case when we went. At one time during our round, an employee rode by in a cart to check on how everybody was doing, a nice touch. Altogether, a decent course that results in a lot of exercise if you skip the cart, as we did, and not far from what looks to be the newer part of DuPont nearby. We tried out this course on an extraordinary "hotel + golf" special. The regular price is considerably above what I'm used to paying, and I didn't see the additional value here.
