BCAG hosted a AIARE 1 course with a small your associated. This was their first all women's course, and the seeing was so unique and wonderful for me. We were keeping safe and well educated throughout.

I just took the AIARE Level 1 course with BCAG, and they did a great job! The lectures were held at Ascent Outdoors, and the first day was very informative and interesting. Ian was very willing to entertain nerdy questions about snow physics, and obviously...More

Great job, great instruction, highly recommended. I learned a lot on the avalanche class, found the time spent to be very valuable.

Took an avalanche course back in 2017. The course was fine, but some months later I asked the owner, Matt, if I could run an academic scholarship through BCAG. To his credit, I don't imagine this is a request BCAG is used to getting, and...More

I took an AIRE I avalanche course with BCAG. The staff took the time to work closely with us and ensure we understood the course concepts. We then engaged in 2 days of field work, which significantly improved my backcountry decision-making. Thanks, Matt and crew!

Temesco Helicopters picked us on time. The Helicopters are brand new and based 5 minutes from most Denali lodging. We flew for 15 minutes where our pilot deftly sat on a ridge top. We spent four hours walking 3 miles of hills and tundra escorted...More

I did an AIARE 1 course. I know that the primary content is not BCAG’s. So, this is to simply say that the instructors from BCAG were obviously professionals. The content is well understood by them and they deliver it well.

My husband and I toured with Matt up at Snoqualmie pass on my 31st birthday, and Matt really went out of his way to get us some great powder. He was very knowledgeable to the area and a friendly and fun guy to travel with....More
