It just so happens that this store was open on a rainy Sunday! I instantly saw signs in the window that drew me in, but come to find out it was a store full of all kinds of different things. Antiques, Nik naks, clothing, furniture, bath/body. I couldn't walk out of there with out buying something. Very neat store.

Nicely done

There are a few antique stores to visit in downtown Centralia but make sure to visit The Shady Lady. Nicely laid out, not overly cluttered and something for everyone!

The best antique store in Centralia!

Holly owns the Shady Lady and it is treat to shop there and visit. The displays are always changing and are so well done so there is always something new to see. I have bought furniture, boots, jewelry, buttons, framed art work, two mirrors and dozens of things there, it’s my favorite antique store on Tower street. Treat yourself often and shop at the Shady Lady, you won’t be sorry!!

There is a bordello museum open on Sundays which is a trip and tons of fun furniture and deco. Stuff you won't find at a big box store.

A great antique store in downtown Centralia. Bigger than it looks from the street with many charming displays and groupings. Very fun place to wander through. I found two items I have been looking for. Will definitely be back!

My daughter and strolled in here while staying in Centralia...this place is full of interesting things...for Ladies...Shady or not...I did locate something I just had to have...and of course I purchased it...and it's not hanging just where I had envisioned it...what a nice place to browse and find your perfect thing that has been missing in your life...

A little of something for everyone. The owner and staff are wonderfully fun people. A must see is the "Ladies of the NIght" Museum, a little piece of Centralia history. May need advanced notice to visit the musuem part of the upstairs. Price to visit the museum is $3.

Hidden Gem!!!

The Shady Lady is simply amazing and is now one of my very favorite stops in the SW Washington/NW Oregon area. Simply put, it’s two incredible stores in one and I’m beyond thrilled that I was lucky enough to stumble upon it!

On the one hand it's an amazing place to find antiques, and tons of fun and pretty housewares and home decor. On the other hand, it's also a fantastic place for clothing, shoes, and accessories. If you’re interested in one and not the other, don’t worry, there’s tons of both!

First the housewares, furniture, and décor: you’ll find everything from antiques, to new items with a stylish edge – in a wide variety of tastes – here. Furniture, lamps, mirrors, pictures and frames, tchotchkes, and everything in-between has been carefully curated and displayed. I was easily at the store for over 2 hours and still didn’t see everything! I love painting furniture and décor to make it unique and found tons here to scratch my creative itch. And, as if anticipating my crafty hobby, The Shady Lady carries a full line of chalk paint!

Now, on to the clothes, shoes and accessories! The entire(!) top floor, and a couple areas of the main floor, are full of new and vintage clothing – including shoes and cowboy boots – in pristine condition. The fit-for-a-movie grand spiral staircase at the back of the store is lined, nearly to the top, with cowboy boots on either side. At the top of the stairs, you’ll find an impressively vast array of clothing in new or like-new condition. In fact, many items still have the original tags intact. I didn’t find one stain, snag, rip, or tear in any of the hundreds of items I looked over. The fashions span decades but all are appropriate for wear today. This is not a place to find a disposable crazy outfit for a costume party like some run-of-the-mill vintage/used clothing stores. These are quality pieces with classic styles, cuts, and colors that withstand time and outlandish fads. That being said however, mixed in with the timely and timeless pieces, you’ll find that there are some fun and funky finds that draw interest, but definitely not giggles. All the pieces I looked at were priced quite well; in the $10 to under $20 range!

Oh, and I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention the room stocked full of formalwear! If you’re in the market for a formal event, there's a whole – fairly large – room full of formal gowns on the main floor that many large department stores would justifiably envy. Prices here might be higher, I didn’t look. But, if the rest of the store is any indication, you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

In the final stage to being completely decked out, near the counter at the front of the store – behind the armoire full of sunglasses – you’ll find a large array of jewelry. Next to the jewelry, there’s a locked cabinet of higher-end handbags and purses at very reasonable prices. Throughout the store, you’ll find scarves, more purses, some pieces of jewelry, and miscellaneous accessories.

Basically, this store is a dream come true for any gal that’s into fashion for herself, her home, or as gifts!
