Discover lava tube caves, old-growth forests, waterfalls, and more on a guided tour of Mt. St. Helens. The park’s vastness and variety of attractions can be overwhelming on your own, but by visiting with a guide you don’t miss any of the highlights. Plus, you can learn about the area’s geology, ecology, and history—much of which you might miss if visiting the park on your own.

My wife and I visited MSHCC on June 18, 2019 and went on a guided trip of various sites around MSH. We hiked the Hummocks Trail and saw a five foot tall beaver dam maybe 40 feet long. This in an area that was not supposed to be green for over a thousand years. The 30 foot tall Alder trees were very impressive. Paul Taylor gave a very informative explanation of the area and events around the May 1980 eruption and those following. I highly recommend visiting and taking advantage of this wonderful Christian resource. Jerry Smith, New Jersey

For the past two years I have organized a 3-day retreat to the Mt. St. Helen's National Volcanic Monument for the freshman class of Damascus Christian School. Paul Taylor of the Mt. St. Helen's Creation Center has been our tour guide on several excursions around the mountain showcasing the dramatic changes in the landscape caused by the 1980 eruption (and also from previous eruptions). Paul gives a detailed description of the the stages of the 1980 eruption and its aftermath. He also explains the growth and re-population of plants and animals since the 1980 eruption. Paul is entertaining and interesting as he teaches the students. (His British accent makes listening that much more fun!) I highly recommend stopping by the Mt. St. Helen's Creation Center for the multimedia presentation and joining one of the excursions around the mountain.

My husband and I spent a delightful afternoon with Paul Taylor learning more about Mt. St Helens prior to our visit there. A very uplifting and inspirational time and a highlight of our vacation this year.

Paul Taylor took us on a personal tour of Mt St Helens and taught the real evidence from the catastrophic geology. MSHCC is a must for folks really wanting the understand how Mt St Helens points to the real history of our planet.
