Lacamas Lake, is a wonderful spot! Close to the city but yet feels like you're away!! Have picnics, take a hike, watch the birds, rent a canoe/kayak, rent a paddle board, drop your boat, throw your air mattress out in the lake and relax or swing from the rope swing!! Did I mention you van have a BBQ out there... More

Lacamas Lake is beautiful with wild life that abounds. Sometimes, one can see deer crossing the lake, eagles, and ducks. A magnificent walking trail goes along the lake for a good cardio workout or leisurely stroll. During the summer, boaters, paddle boarders and the like can be found enjoying all the lake has to offer.

The lake is in a large regional park that is cross-crossed with beautiful hiking trails, deep fern filled forests and beautiful waterfalls. A great place to spend the afternoon.

I go to Lacamas Lake and Round Lake at least 2 times per week to walk. Round Lake (and connecting Lacams Creek) especially has some nice trails and scenery. There are loads of side trails and access roads that can give you a 4-5 mile walk. With the up hill sections I can get a good work out and be... More

Not lengthy or difficult by any means, but a nice woodsy experience on well-managed trail around a small lake. Fishing allowed. Nice bathrooms. Safe.

I hesitate to even mention this gem of a park because the traffic will increase even more. This however is our special secret here in Camas. Beautiful peaceful lake, wonderful trail system, and parking for boats, etc. As a walker, my only complaint is the foot traffic! It is just too crowded on the weekends during prime time. In general... More

Walked the south end of the trail. It was a great walk with beautiful view. There was bathrooms and a playground at the south end. Will definitely be returning to kayak on the lake.

Husband and I have walked over half of this (and back) with two dogs - very nice and not horribly packed (when we went). Only word of caution is we noticed several people with unleashed dogs that were greeting everybody. Just because your dog is friendly doesn't mean it can be off-leash and out of sight.

Whenever my wife and I visit our daughter and family in Camas, I always take my daily walk around Round Lake. A bit hilly for some; but a great work-out for me (in my sixties). But there are walks for every energy level. Lovely vistas all the way round. Changes with seasons; but always beautiful. The falls from the old... More
