Excellent, convenient kayak rental from Yelvik's beach. Cute farm animals (pigs and a baby cow) on the 100 yard private road to the beach. Hard working kayak rental person (Liz) was very nice and very helpful about safety and where to go and not go. Good equipment, life vests included. Saw lots of harbor seals during a 90-minute paddle, including youngsters that came right up to our kayaks.

Solid kayaking in a beautiful area. We saw several seals, eagles, and kingfishers on the trip. Chance is a solid guide, who prepared us well for the trip and helped us to spot wildlife. We were at high tide, so didn't get a view of tidepools. The water was pretty choppy and we had to fight currents and waves on the way out to our lunch stop, which made for some good exercise. The return trip was much easier.

If you're looking for some guided time on the water - this trip is a very nice option. If you're experienced and knowledgeable of this area, rentals from the same location would also be a solid choice.

My daughter and I were on a bonding trip last spring. We were in the area and looking for some things to do. The locals recommended Hood Canal Adventures. If a local recommends you know they have to be good. This establishment went past good to great. We went kayaking and did some site seeing. Thanks for the great memories and beautiful sites you took us to.

My husband and I have visited Hood Canal several times since 2009 and always enjoy the fresh air, wildlife and quiet that the area offers. One highlight of our trip was taking a catamaran boat ride, arranged through Hood Canal Adventures, out on the water for an afternoon. We highly recommend! They also offer kayaking, fly-fishing tours etc for the more active.

Christina took 5 of us on the Dosewallips kayak tour. It was a ton of fun. We saw eagles, birds, and seals. She had a ton of information about the local wildlife and helped the slower kayakers (that would be me) keep a comfortable pace. I would totally do this tour again.

We came here as a large group and really enjoyed the trip. The kayaks are in great shape and the routes the guide recommends are quite scenic. We saw bald eagles, seals and herons on are trip. The prices are reasonable and this was the most fun we had while at camping at Dosewallips state park. This is just a short trip from the state park.

With friends, group of 7, we enjoyed kayaking and crabbing in Brinnon. We rent 3 tandem kayaks and 1 SUP board to cover 7 people. We rent 6 crab pots as well. It was really nice sunny day on that day. Once we got there, Christina, the owner/operator of Kayak Brinnon welcomed us and provided us life vests and kayaks. She was very friendly and helpful, I must say meeting her was one of factor that contributed to our joyful moments in kayaking. All of us are first timers in the combination of kayaking and crabbing. We ended up only two good size if red rock crabs, but the number of game did not matter, we had a great fun and the crabs were very tasty. Here are a couple of tips from me. Make sure you don't go too far, once wind became strong and against you, it is hard to move forward, or return back. Having said that tandem kayak would be highly recommended especially when you accompany kids or those who are not confident in stamina. Another tip would be regarding your clothes. Be ready to get soaked. The combination of wind and getting soaked will give you a hard time.

My wife and I love to camp and get out on the water. Recently I wanted to do something special for her so I booked a tour with hood canal adventures, wanting to go somewhere new and amazing that we would not have been able to find on our own. Dave and Valerie were great not only did they deliver, but they made us feel so special . They took the time to find the right place and then went above and beyond to help me plan a special picnic for my wife. They recommended their Lake Kokanee tour ,I couldn't even find this place on the map. We started off paddling in a lake setting it was so peaceful and calm and went into this canyon area and got some amazing pictures in front of a waterfall. Dave was also our guide and he was great pointing things out as we went along and we really enjoyed his company. We came to a small island and had a great picnic ( I scored some major points with the wife - Thanks again Hood Canal Adventures! ) We had so much fun we went on our own day trip the next day at their Lake Cushman location and even tried paddle boarding . All in all we could not have asked for a better experience, the scenery was absolutely gorgeous and thank you again to Valerie and Dave they really made our trip , we will be telling all of our friends, family .. mail man and will definitely be back to again !

Christina took our group of 6 out for the 2 hour tour. She was fun and informative and shared lots of information about the area. We are able to see lots of seals swimming, bald eagles and a herd of elk. We even got to see a salmon swimming up the creek. We had such a good time. i would recommend Kayak Brinnon to anyone.

We thoroughly enjoyed the time with Christina. We went crabbing (left with 1 crab...don't forget to get your permit), kayaking, saw seals, bald eagles, starfish, sea anenomeas, shucked oysters, and had an overall fantastic time. we were on the water for a few hours with a nice break for lunch and swimming. Some of us paddled hard while others relaxed.
