Samish Bay Cheese is a must stop for visitors to the Skagit Valley. We were skeptical of gouda style cheeses, but they have changed our minds. The variety of cheese is overwhelming. We had to sample quite a few before we could decide what to...More

Quaint and impressive family run cheese making operation. We followed signs for a farmer's market, and they were located right next to it. Their matriarch was understandably proud of their product, and indeed, we left with some of their finer creations to snack on during...More

Great stop. Friendly and informative. Free tastings. Selected some cheese, and finished it all happily on picnic a few miles later. Shop has other cool items including beer. The cheese itself is just beautiful. Saw some kids enjoying the tour.

Large barn-like structure in a rural environment, worlds away from the big city environment, I found myself relaxing just stepping out of my car in the parking lot. Strolling to the "store," a large open space, a counter, cheese to sample and purchase and more....More

At Samish Bay Cheese you enter a brand new retail shop after parking near the pastures where their cows are grazing, taste samples of remarkbly lovely aged cheeses and can shop at their refrigerated unit full of soft cheeses, wines, ciders and other products that...More

On our way to Lummi Island, Washington, we swung off the freeway through the tiny area of Bow-Edison, an area of artisan farms, foods and spirits. Our primary reason was to visit Samish Bay Cheese & Whey More company. They had an amazing variety of...More
