Have seen several movies here and never been disappointed by the atmosphere or staff! I wish the ticket purchasing set-up were a little different but hey, as long as you get a ticket! The only dislike was the fact that the butter applied to the popcorn shriveled the kernels into mush, so do not order butter on your corn!

I saw "Muscle Shoals", "Good Ole' Freda" and my stepson's school's film fest here—it is a great, small town film venue.

Art films and docus. Run by super interactive staff and volunteers. Kind of place folks sit around before and after and share insights. Sound town feel that is welcoming to visitors. Cozy. Spotlessly clean. Just awesome.

Since I hear poorly even if the sound is loud, I usually have to rely on head phones provided by any theatre. These frequently do not work. The Limelight Theatre on Cornwall Avenue has added a hand-held device which provides captions separately from the film on the screen. The device is a bit cumbersome (part of it sits in the... More

The Pickford Film Center is my favorite place to see a movie. Bike rack just outside to lock up your ride. Even the popcorn (with options to sprinkle parmesan, garlic and/or brewers yeast, among others) is good. Grab a beer or a glass of wine with your movie. Add to that the charming, local vibe and the BEST selection of... More

The Pickford is THE place to go for movies you won't find in the chain theaters. Go early and enjoy a glass of wine or beer and appetizers. They have a great lobby for hanging out with tables and chairs. And you can take your food and drink in the theaters! Two theaters, both with raked seating, not a bad... More

Downtown Bellingham is blessed with not just one but two small film venues that focus on independent film and foster arts education and visual literacy. PICKFORD FILM CENTER at 1318 Bay Street (two screens) and LIMELIGHT CINEMA on 1416 Cornwall Avenue both offer a quality movie-going experience at an affordable price, With comfortable seats and a variety of snacks from... Just moved to the area and had to locate a film house that was smaller than the LOUD Nationally recognized variety! Pickford Film Center is perfect for its size, location (2 theatres one block apart - Limelight's the sister venue) and both show new and old films. Plus, free popcorn on Mondays - popped with coconut oil and seasoned with... More

I love the movies that come to the Pickford and the Limelight! It is the only theater that shows all the independent movies.

Small, community oriented avant-garde film theater. Always has a great selection of current gems which typically spans all genres, including excellent documentaries. The Pickford supports local and regional artists, and often has in-person discussions with the film makers. Friendly staff, 2 comfortable theaters. Good sound system without blasting you out of your seat. Absent are all of the violent blow-something-up... More
