My husband and I chartered Exact for a week, while getting away from the demo of our quest bathroom . We traveled south this time since the Canadian Border was closed.
When we arrived, we were greeted with enthusiasm for our upcoming adventure and they did everything possible to get us checked out and aboard in a timely manner. We added an extra night so we could leave as soon as the weather permitted. It could get foggy. Exact was a dream! It was beautifully appointed and had everything you could need or want in the galley. The whole experience was WONDERFUL!
The staff at NW Explorations are professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. We look forward to future charters and highly recommend them for beautifully maintained Grand Banks.

We chartered a Grand Banks 42 for two weeks. The experience in the San Juan islands and facilitated by NW Explorations exceed our expectations. The boat was exceptionally well maintained and the staff could not be more customer experience focused. We hope to do another cruise with them soon, and we'll recommend them to anyone considering cruising in their areas.

We Chartered Bonum Vitae for a week and just loved the whole process. The NW team is top notch, super helpful, and the boat was in splendid condition. (Of course the San Juans aren’t too bad either!)

This was our third bareboat trip - the first two were in the Caribbean - and the condition of this boat was far, far better! Everything worked, nothing broke. Was an amazing experience. We will be back!

We chartered a Grand Banks (Aquila) in September 2017. The boat was clean and well-maintained. The check-in process was thorough and we were very comfortable with the workings of the boat when the checkout was complete. The boat had everything for a comfortable cruise: charts, extra lines, solid dingy with a good motor, plenty of fenders, good electronics, kayaks, well-stocked galley, comfortable spaces for relaxing. She handled beautifully in all conditions. The San Juan Islands are MAGIC, especially in September when the crowds are down. Sucia was a special treat: quiet, good hiking, and a lovely family of otters who ate their freshly-caught fish on our swim deck! Poet's Cove on South Pender Island was also a treat. Canadian Customs is right next door, the resort is low key with a nice spa and restaurant, and the harbor is fun for exploring with the dingy.

We chartered 5 boats and headed for the San Juan Islands and Victoria. The boats were great and everything went smoothly. NW Explorations did everything possible to assure a safe and comfortable cruise. We had one small issue and the service tech met us at the dock when we pulled into our next port. Great customer support!

Four of us spent 9 nights on Change of Latitude, a Grand Banks 42. The vessel was in wonderful condition and the folks at NW Explorations certainly pay attention to every detail. The PDF of information about the boat before you arrive is amazing and the 3 ring binder on board is so very helpful while underway. The area is beautiful and so very interesting. We would like to take another trip here with this company.

Thank you so much for your review, Mark! We hold all of our boats to a high maintenance standard. Our operating manuals are so important for guests because it gives you the opportunity to build your confidence with the knowledge of the boat before arriving for your charter! We hope to have you back soon!

Full disclosure—I am a yacht broker on the brokerage side of NW Explorations. That said, we have never experienced the charter side from the viewpoint of a client. We chartered Grey Lady, the Sabre 38, with long-time friends from the east coast for a week in the San Juans and Gulf Islands. We wanted to try out a different type of boat, having spent 14 years on a trawler. The boat was in overall excellent condition and a very enjoyable vessel. Our stops included Jones Island, Sidney Spit, Wallace Island, Ganges, Stuart Island, and Sucia Island.

While I have no doubt that the fact that the crews at NWE know me and my experience level, the same can be said about any repeat client and the full process was smooth and wonderfully pleasant. Given that I am so close to the company it would more meaningful to share the comments of our friends who have no boating experience. They commented several times how professional and service-oriented everyone at NWE was, with special mention of Emmelina (charter manager) and David Carnahan (senior service tech). I would just like to add that I am very proud to be affiliated with this group.

We have been in the yacht charter business for nearly 40 years, have chartered from Turkey to New Zealand, led flotillas worldwide, and manage a charter fleet of 50 yachts on San Francisco Bay. Our charter aboard the Fleming 55, "Sarah Brooks," exceeded our expectations in every way. The yacht is impeccably maintained, beautifully equipped, and a pleasure to be aboard. She also has many complex systems which caused us zero problems because of the extremely well done operator's manual. We'll be back!

What an exciting experience it was for four North Queenslanders to join NW Explorations flotilla to Desolation Sound. We swapped our usual Palm-fringed tropical islands and Great Barrier Reef for the soaring mountains, fjords and mist shrouded islands of British Columbia and Desolation Sound. What a feast for the senses! Not to disappoint, we saw a black bear swimming across a narrow gap between two islands, orca, humpback whales, seals and seal lions, and majestic bald eagles. Moss covered forests and huge trees lined our hikes to varied hidden treasures. NW Explorations made our experience so easy and seamless, from booking our trip, orientation, tips on our daily destinations. A thoroughly professional charter business with reliable and well maintained vessels. Always a friendly smile and helping hand. Thanks to you all for making our trip unforgettable! We'll be back to go to Alaska!
