Great local park. Nice trail, easy walk and leashed dogs with poop bags are welcomed. Boat launch here as well.

If you visit Twanoh State Park on a gorgeous sunny Fall day like today, you will likely see eagles overhead, and chum salmon fighting their way up the creek that runs right through the park. There are excellent hiking trails the start inside the park...More

Twanoh is a little-known gem on the Hood Canal! It only has less than 50 sites in the State Park campground, which is part of its appeal as it's also tucked away in the rainforest. It's a quick walk across the road to the canal....More

Twanoh State Park is beautifully situated on the Hood Canal outside the town of Union, Washington. The ambience of the park is compromised by the proximity of campsites to one another. Most of the campsites only have 5 feet between them and often share a...More

This lovely state park is bordered on one side by a healthy swath of Pacific Northwest near-rainforest--dense underbrush of ferns, berries, Devil's Club, Cedar, Douglas Fir and Hemlock. Across the small highway the rest is lapped by the warm waters of Hood Canal. What's not...More
