Didn't make it too far down the bath, but it's fun to go exploring on the rocky beach. Could make for a good sunset.

I like to think of this park as the neighborhood park. It does have its residences within and bordering this park. Lots of grassy areas for your pets to run and play. There are boat launches for those interested. And a great place to walk...More

Nice paved path with views of the Rich Passage. Great place for a picnic. TONS of blackberries to pick - bring a container!

This uncrowded park is a great place to walk. The forest is majestic, the water (and passing ferries) close by, and her is a great view of Rainier!

Well maintained level walking trail along water inlet. Dog friendly on leach. Not advertised on through streets in Bainbridge but you can locate on web search. A little parking available and a place to put small boat in water. Nice quiet shaded walk along water.

I walk at Fort Ward often - at least weekly - and never fail to see eagles dancing in the sky, either together or in pairs. It's a lovely place to walk you dog - walk with dear friends - walk alone.

After struggling to find the park, the trek was worth the effort! You can skirt the coast and enjoy wonderful scenery including the passing ferries, mountains in the distance, and the occasional eagle or even an orca. Go for the scenery or the exercise. The...More
