The herb farm and garden was a nice diversion on a very warm day. We enjoyed the short stroll through the garden and the gift shop. There was a family with children enjoying the butterfly experience. Anyone who enjoys herbs and plants would enjoy this.

My friends and I had a very nice visit to this herb farm. It is peaceful and serene here. However, it is a good distance off the main road. The owner, Ellen offers lunch for groups of 6 or more so our group had a delicious lunch. Ellen was so helpful and informative while giving us a tour of her... More

well, the drive was out of the way, and was a disappointment. the herb garden is no longer well tended, the butterfly house is a $5 come-on, and it has nothing much to offer anymore that you cannot get elsewhere. rather a let down, and could not recommend it for travellers and visitors to the area. so sorry to have... I am so sorry you had an unsatisfactory experience during your visit. Would you let us know when you visited us? Not sure when you visited but the gardens are pristine at the moment and we just had our annual lavender festival. Our 2 acre gardens are just about at peak, the lavender is presently in full bloom and we... More

Going to Beagle Ridge for Ellen's Lavender and Thyme day is always wonderful. Her knowledge and speaking ability are amazing. Her joy in what she does is obvious. I get down to Beagle Ridge at least once a year, sometimes more, there are workshops posted on the website and happen most weekends. If she is doing a lunch, sign up,... More

Thanks so much for coming down on Saturday. We appreciate you making the trek to see us for our Lavender Thyme event. Enjoy your Lavender once you get it in the ground. I am working on new recipes for next year, lavender of course! More

We soldiered through the unpaved road to get to this gem of an herb farm to find a very helpful owner, Ellen there who graciously showed us around and allowed us to walk the 1/4 mile to the pond before shopping for lovely lavender items in the store. This adorable place is even lovely when the flowers are not in... More

We visited in late October. We walked to the pond (1/2 mile or so). The trail was a little rough and the pond view was just okay. Nothing spectacular. The gardens were of course pretty much done with and we had no expectations there. The store is well stocked with their goods (lavender a specialty). The picnic area wasn't near... More

Thanks for taking the time to visit and I am sorry it was so late in the season. We closed on October 15 however we are always glad to open up for travelers, if we are there working, as we did you your visit. Our fall colors are over by mid October and the gardens are dormant by then too.... More

Our guide thru the butterfly house pointed out the various plants and flowers along with which of the butterfly species were drawn to each. Bought some bronze fennel for my butterfly garden. Lovely and peaceful!

WOW! This is an amazing place. It is off the beaten path, so be prepared for that. BUT IT IS WORTH IT! The proprietor is hands on and there to give you a tour or answer your questions. This is an herb farm, garden, butterfly exhibit, sanctuary all in one. She has a unique gift shop with products made from... More

Drove 40 min out on a horrible gravel road and the place was gated and had a sign that said open THURS- SAT. And that was during summer vacation season - that was not indicated anywhere and even our hotel manager was very surprised. We bought some of their products in our hotel shop- sad we couldn't actually go out... More
