This Herb Farm is tucked back in the middle of nowhere on purpose. There are many different educational opportunities. The Butterfly House is especially neat to see.

The butterfly house had closed the week before our visit, but the young lady there took us through the gardens and shop for a very informative overview of what the farm represents for the area. We will try to visit again when the butterflies are active.

I am glad you ventured out to see us. The butterfly house is open Mid may until the monarchs need to migrate in mid September. After that we have caterpillars and Chrysalis getting ready for winter with an occasional butterfly out in the main gardens. We hope you will visit next year, when we will have up to 11 different... Find Ellen when you arrive. She and her husband grew the hundreds of herbs, flowers and butterflies! at this special garden. They make their own soap with fruits from the garden. Lemon and Lavender were favorites. Wild deer roam while you shop. The tour of the herbs helped with our own gardening plans. A wonderful stop a few miles off... More

The herb garden was lovely even for this late in the season. We look forward to returning when everything is in bloom. The shop had a good variety of scented products and skin creams. They have a surprisingly well-stocked lending library. The butterfly exhibits and screened "hut" were exciting, mostly due to the young woman who seems to know EVERYTHING... More

The herb farm and garden was a nice diversion on a very warm day. We enjoyed the short stroll through the garden and the gift shop. There was a family with children enjoying the butterfly experience. Anyone who enjoys herbs and plants would enjoy this.

My friends and I had a very nice visit to this herb farm. It is peaceful and serene here. However, it is a good distance off the main road. The owner, Ellen offers lunch for groups of 6 or more so our group had a delicious lunch. Ellen was so helpful and informative while giving us a tour of her... More

well, the drive was out of the way, and was a disappointment. the herb garden is no longer well tended, the butterfly house is a $5 come-on, and it has nothing much to offer anymore that you cannot get elsewhere. rather a let down, and could not recommend it for travellers and visitors to the area. so sorry to have... I am so sorry you had an unsatisfactory experience during your visit. Would you let us know when you visited us? Not sure when you visited but the gardens are pristine at the moment and we just had our annual lavender festival. Our 2 acre gardens are just about at peak, the lavender is presently in full bloom and we... More

Going to Beagle Ridge for Ellen's Lavender and Thyme day is always wonderful. Her knowledge and speaking ability are amazing. Her joy in what she does is obvious. I get down to Beagle Ridge at least once a year, sometimes more, there are workshops posted on the website and happen most weekends. If she is doing a lunch, sign up,... More

We soldiered through the unpaved road to get to this gem of an herb farm to find a very helpful owner, Ellen there who graciously showed us around and allowed us to walk the 1/4 mile to the pond before shopping for lovely lavender items in the store. This adorable place is even lovely when the flowers are not in... More
