Returned to Wintergreen 6/17 and played both courses. Devils Knob has to be one of the most scenic mountain courses in the East. As other reviewers have noted we found very comfortable temperatures even though the valley was experiencing a heat wave. Conditions were excellent...More

Great challenge with amazing views. Tight fairways require straight T shots, course play flows well, elevation changes require ability to get up and down well. Course was in very good shape, tough rough.

Nice course. It would be more enjoyable with a GPS on cart or a yardage book. Despite its' mountain location, the course generally pretty flat. Several holes have elevation changes. The best part is the temperatures. While it was about 100 degrees in the valley,...More

If you like 250+ yards drives but can only hit 170 yards, this is course is one of the places to go, as long as you hit them straight.

Very hard course for the older and average golfer. The woman of the trip really had a hard time with the course. Pretty course and nice people.

My hubby & I seek out mountainous golf courses, b/c we like the adventure of good mtn golf. Devils Knob was very beautiful and very well maintained, and relatively easy. It was also really busy. We both play the reg men's tees (white tees), and...More

Fantastic golf course carved into the blue ridge mountains. It's relatively short so if you hit a straight ball you have a chance. However, the greens have a lot of unanticipated breaks. Located at 3800 feet above sea level it's the perfect course for June,...More

We played with a group of 8 and had a great afternoon. It is a narrow course and easy to lose balls, but if you enjoy being outside with beautiful views and wooded areas, this is the course for you. It is more difficult than...More
