This building is stunning and we had no plans to visit but once we spotted it, we had to go inside. It is a beautiful building with a lovely duomo. Great to explore and has lots of fantastic reading niches. Huge section for kids and teens on second floor. Spiral stairwells were fun.

My wife and I reserved two travel books online. When the books became available, we were notified and were surprised about how easy it was to retrieve the books. They were in a section for pickup, and we were surprised about the self-scanner for checkout.

This Library is a gem. From the outside rotunda look to the spiral staircase inside, this place is so much more than a Library. The events are numerous and family friendly, except for the beer and wine events. Why drink in a library? I don’t know! The place has space for reading , a stadium seating theatre for events and an elevator for easy access to their multiple levels. Borrowing books, magazines and multi-media is a bonus!

Note: This review is about the building, not the service or the library system. While walking around town I found this handsome building near the pedestrain street in Winchester. It is a unique look and good looking building located at the corner of I Piccadilly Street. I learned later that it is a library in historic building and was built in 1913 with the Beaux-Arts style. Worth a few photos.

This building is an architectural wonder and an amazing tribute to yesteryear. The archives in the basement are also a great resource.
