What a great spot! The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I had a beautiful walk around the property and then cooled off inside while I looked at the artifacts. It's must see.

This little known battlefield is worth a look. The town of Winchester changed hands from north to south over 40 times during the Civil War and Kernstown was right in the middle of the action. It's worth tying into your tour of regional battlefields.
