What a great time!! Cowboy Bill was excellent. Very good teacher and the rail was nice and long and very varied. We went thru streams, up and down hills and enjoyed his corny jokes!!🥴🥴😂

Our family has returned multiple times to ride at Wagon Wheel Ranch whenever we're in Virginia. Very friendly staff and attentive to not only the guests but the horses too...you're not riding mindless plugs. The tack is clean and fitted correctly to you and your horse. The grounds are beautiful and relaxing. In the fall be sure to combine it with apple-picking at one of the local orchards. Excellent family experience.

My family and I visited the wagon wheel ranch in October of 2017. None of us had ridden a horse before but it’s something that interested us, so we decided to book a trail ride. This ranch was beautiful, so picturesque! The horses were well trained and calm. The owner Sam was spunky, fun, patient , and especially good with small children. All of us had a great time here and would definitely come back.

We traveled with our 8-year-old granddaughter to the Wagon Wheel Ranch on a weekday for a 90-minute trail ride. We made our reservation about 3 weeks in advance so we could ride during my granddaughter's spring break. Making a reservation in advance is highly recommended due to the owner's busy schedule. The rolling hills on the ranch made the ride quite enjoyable. Another plus factor was riding side by side. There was just the four of us and we rode together, either all four abreast, or two and two, instead of single file. This made it easy for conversation. Our guide, Sam, shared lots of interesting stories and information about horses during our ride. After the ride we were treated to ice cold lemonade. I highly recommend this stable for a trail ride. You won't be disappointed.

We've been taking our daughter here for riding lessons for a while now. Sam runs a great operation. She has excellent people skills, she has clear expectations for the students - and the parents..;) She has excellent help for days when she's not there. We highly recommend her ranch. The setting is beautiful. We have yet to take a trail ride, but our daughter loves every minute of it.
