This was recommended to us. I was unsure about it when I saw the website but it was perfect for active and curious children with well thought out exhibits and so many hands on activities that we ended up staying until it closed. My son said it was the best place ever.

Took our granddaughter here - she loved it. The adults also found it interesting. There is something there for everyone, and we learned a lot. The hands-on exhibits are fun for old and young. (The roof gardern is a great place to watch the parade and/or fireworks in Winchester as well)

My great-granddaughter and I went to the Winchester VA Discovery Museum and we enjoyed every bit of the 4 levels of fun available. The ground floor has a fantastic Rub Goldberg and a climbing gallery that kids loved tunneling through from the entrance and then in reverse. A real ambulance with lights (no siren in this enclosed space; a mock... More

This place was recommended to us by one the teachers at our grandson's pre-school. Both our grandchildren, aged five and two, loved the whole experience and there were plenty of fun educational activities to keep them occupied for several hours. The tickets are valid all day if you want to take a break for lunch and go back in. There... More

At first glance it doesn't seem like much. My husband and I were afraid our 3.5-yr-old would lose interest after twenty minutes. But once she visited every floor to see what all there was (and after we helped turn her onto a few activities like the rollercoaster modeling), we had to pull her away after an hour when they started... We love the Discovery Museum. Been coming here since my kids were younger. Always recommend it to out of town guests with kids. It's the prefect way to beat the heat and entertain the kiddos!

First time visit here was fantastic. Our two year old loved everything. We got in free with our reciprocal museum membership which was a plus. There are four floors including a rooftop deck. There is so much to do and it was great.

We visited here after our stop to Dinosaur Land during the week. 4 floors of art, science and nature. My kids loved the apple pulley section and the water tables. Very cute place to visit and not at all expensive. Make sure to clip the $1 off coupon on their website. Not too big of a place to be intimidating... More
