I have visited a lot of Discovery options for kids. This one was fun. Not too big but enough. It had lots of activities and lots of variety which made up for the size. We spent almost an hour on the cogwheels as you walk in. We spent half an hour on the musical electronic harp in the stairway. We... More

My tiny tourists, ages 2.5 and 5, were in kid heaven here! With lots of hands on exhibits and plenty of open space, it felt crowded, but not unpleasantly so. They loved the apple harvesting and roller coaster building areas the best.

My kids and I travel down from NY on I-81 on our way to see family in Charlottesville once a year. I am always looking for places to stop and break the trip up for the kids. This was our first year stopping at this museum and it was fantastic! One of the best kids' museums I have been to,... More

This place is made with children in mind! You could spend a week here and still find new things to do! The second floor water table, toy tables, roller coaster, and apple packaging was a favorite. Staff is friendly and bathrooms were clean. Don't forget to check out the view from the roof!

Our kids always enjoy going to the museum and interacting with the various attractions. Their new location on Cork Street has definitely increased the number of stations and interactive displays the kids can work with. Every time we drive by the kids ask when we can go back. Awesome place to have in your home town!

The whole family loved it. Much better than most children's museums. 3 floors and the roof! Wish we had one of these near our home.

This is a wonderful place for kids! It is an interactive museum with plenty to do. Some adults might want to join in. Very interesting. The action changes over time, so you won't mind going back. Price is a little high, but a lot of the admission fee goes to the changes that are constantly ongoing. Most of the "employees"... More

Thank you for the glowing review, Michael D! We are happy to hear that you enjoy visiting the museum and that our efforts to keep things interesting and "changing" are appreciated. Part of our admission fee also helps fund memberships for families in need or field trips for schools in low-income neighborhoods. We hope that you stop by again soon! More

We bought the Grand parents pass for$99. What a value we can bring our 6 Grand kids at no charge. The 7 and unders love to go and the 11 year old boy loves it too. Climbing though the though digestive system on the first floor. Playing with apples and simple machines on the 2nd. Your kids will love it
