First time visit here was fantastic. Our two year old loved everything. We got in free with our reciprocal museum membership which was a plus. There are four floors including a rooftop deck. There is so much to do and it was great.

We visited here after our stop to Dinosaur Land during the week. 4 floors of art, science and nature. My kids loved the apple pulley section and the water tables. Very cute place to visit and not at all expensive. Make sure to clip the $1 off coupon on their website. Not too big of a place to be intimidating... More

I am always on lookout for some places where kids can have fun as well as bit of learning. So came across this place which was close to 60 miles from my home. We went on a Saturday and we reached quite early, almost around 11 AM. So there were not many visitors that time. The entrance is impressive and... More

We were meeting some friends and this way a 1/2 way point so we decided on this as a stop. We are so spoiled by a children's museum that is about 1hr from our house that is AMAZING! (Lynchburg, VA). This one is nice .. Has things spread out through 4 floors and a fun open roof-top area. There is... More

There were some neat aspects to the museum but it seems to be a free for all without a lot of parental structure with their children. The gentleman working did not seem interested at all in visitors. Not really a place I would go back to. More of a one time for the experience for us.

First was here years ago on a field trip with my oldest. Decided to take my youngest on a rainy day. So glad I did they've moved locations and it's an amazing place.

A few years back we stumbled upon the Shenandoah Discovery Museum while in Old Town Winchester with our then three year old grandson. It was housed in a single story building on the walking mall. He had a blast and it seemed to be just right. It then closed down and moved into a three story building around the corner... More
