Ghost Tour of Williamsburg

161 reviews
For a not-so-typical take on Virginia history, travelers shouldn't miss the chance to uncover haunted stories of Williamsbug on this ghastly ghost tour. Join up with your guide in the evening to visit several historic sights, dating to colonial times. Along the way, expect spooky tales of ghosts and spirits, and visit places where psychics and paranormal investigators have reported actual hauntings.

Sorry to see they have removed the box office staff. Now you have to stand in the line for concessions to buy your ticket. It takes a LONG time, so plan ahead. I think they will lose customers because of this.

Theater is comfortable and clean. Refreshments were really expensive, as is normal. But nearly 10 minutes of ads after the posted start time, then 15 minutes of previews. And apparently they're cutting expenses by cutting the heat. Really cold in the theaters.

The Regal Theater is very modern, clean and well kept. The screen was big and the sound was really good. Unfortunately, ownership or management decided that we needed to see about 25 minutes of previews BEFORE the movie started. Don't think I want to waste my time like that. Most likely will not go back to this particular theater. If I do attend another Regal Theater in another town and experience the same delay in the beginning I will most likely not go to the movies at a Regal Theater again.

The days of being able to breeze into this theater 5 minutes before the show begins seem to be over since management closed the box office. Tickets are now purchased at the concession stand. Each transaction (ticket plus concession purchase) takes FOREVER. Today, the theater had two major movies on board ("Harriet" and "Motherless Brooklyn"); I arrived at 12:20 for a 1:00 showing of "Harriet", waited in line for 30 minutes, watched as the only two employees moved at snails' paces, gave up and, as the line simply was not moving, left. I gave the money I would have spent at the movies to the nice folks down the street at "Plow and Hearth". OBTW, with long lines and no ticket takers, folks appear to be skipping the lines and just walking into the auditoriums with no tickets. Movie Tavern, here I come.

Had been looking forward to seeing “Rocketman”. Went to the 1:00 showing on June 9th. This new film was being shown in a very small theater and all the seats were filled including the first row under the screen! The show started and we had to strain to hear the dialogue. As it progressed we were astounded that we did not hear any Surround sound. All the music and words seemed to be coming only from the front of the theater. You would think a movie with so much music would be played with surround sound. Did not enjoy the film because of the poor sound and uncomfortable seats. Have usually had great experiences at this venue.
