Stumbled upon this store when in Scottsdale, AZ. Tried to find this store when I found out there was one in Williamsburg. They are no longer at this address. Searched for it on a cold rainy day. Called them and found out the are now located on Duke of Gloucester St.! Found it! One happy girl $90 later!

this place is so cool!

Unlike anything I've ever seen, the smells and different types of tea, salts, peppers is amazing! I am a tea drinker, but not like this! This is amazingly fancy and fun. I didn't buy any loose tea, but I did have a cup brewed. It was a lovely flowery chai. Even if you don't drink tea, go in and check out and SMELL all the yummy types of tea and spice. What a neat place.

It’s ok

I love tea and so enjoyed seeing their wonderful selections of tea! (Got a couple to try!)
The spice section was a lot of flavored salts. I found a bbq rub to buy but I thought most offerings were pretty standard and overpriced.
(Disappointed that they had Ceylon cinnamon but not Saigon. )

Love this store!

We have a Spice and Tea Exchange about an hour from our home but we always come to this one when we are in Williamsburg. Its a small shop but it is loaded. We bought catnip for our cat, some orzo, and I went for some of the herbal teas and my husband always gets the blueberry tea. There is a coupon in the visitor booklets so be sure to cut it out. Everyone seems very knowledgable about the teas and they said they can mix them. My personal favorite is the chocolate hazelnut which is one they mix together. They also have spices and sugars.

I stop in here every time we visit Wiliamsburg (about once a year), because we like the shop and like to try new things. The last time we were there, I bought a new spice (Pirate's Bite) that I now enjoy several ties a week on my upma in the mornings (upma is a hot cream of wheat). I was getting close to running out, and we are not going to be back in Williamsburg for a couple more months. I called them to see if they would ship a refill to me. They were very helpful and friendly. The package arrived very quickly, and it was well wrapped. The put the refill packet in another thick ziplock bag to prevent leakage. I am very pleased with their products, and especially their service. Can't wait to see them again next time we are in Williamsburg.

Great selection of teas and fabulous customer service
May 2018 • Couples
I am a huge fan of fresh brewed iced teas and I try to visit The Spice & Tea Exchange if I come across one in my travels. The customer service at this location was amazing and they helped me pick out some iced teas that I absolutely love. Thanks for helping me out and if I ever get back to Williamsburg I'll be sure to come by again.

What an adorable place

This is a quaint shop perfectly located in Williamsburg, it has a very good selection of teas and spices to suit many palates. The rubs there are good quality and many blends. They do offer free samples of several salt/rub combos.
Staff was ever so pleansat and helpful.

Fantastic options!

I don't drink tea, and I'm not much of a cook, so this shop wasn't even on my radar until I read a review here and decided to stop by. There are so many things here for serious cooks! Rubs and mixes for every palate, well-organized (Indian, Mediterranean, seafood, venison, Italian, etc.) and smelling so good! I even found two different onion mixes that I'll use for sure in dips and tomato sauces, novice cook that I am.

The real reason I came was for the sugars: raspberry, apple cinnamon, cocoa, coconut, lemon, etc. I *love* using these in oatmeal, hot chocolate, mixed drinks, etc., and I can never find any. I went a little crazy buying them, but the owner was so helpful, friendly, answered all of my questions and gave me great recipe ideas.

It's on the outskirts of Merchant Square, but well worth the time to seek it out. I can't speak to the teas, but they seemed to have a large selection of loose leaves, premixed blends, and I believe they'll mix you a custom blend, too. Definitely check them out!

A tradition
Jul 2017 • Family
We walked to the Spice and Tea Exchange from Col. Williamsburg. This is a tradition for us. My daughter who is 14 is a big "foodie" and loves to cook and bake. Store is very small. Lots to look at, see , taste and smell. We purchased some fish rub, teas , vanilla beans and many flavored sugars (blueberry, strawberry, mint, banana, caramel). We also bought some catnip for our pets at home. There is a rack with free recipe cards for appetizers, drinks, mains and desserts as well as beverages. Nice little shop. Cashier was very friendly and we had a pleasant conversation with her about iced tea. As I stated this is a tradition for us and we always stop and visit.
