With three toddlers from 2-3 years old, we were looking for a place with a playground and short trail to provide some fun and tire them out. Found both here!. The playground provided over an hour of fun, and the "big sand pile" (volleyball court) was awesome, according to them. There were sand toys and big trucks, so they were in heaven. the hike from their to a small scenic area, and past the picnic shelters was perfect for their short legs. We were very glad to find this place!

This park is more of a playground, recreation center than other area parks. Plenty of things for the kids to do here.

I visited the park to play disc golf while staying in Williamsburg. It was an easy drive from the colonial area and cost only $3 to play, which is cheaper than the park entrance fee for many courses. There was a guy in the office who not only gave me a map, but walked me out towards the course and gave me a lay of the land... very helpful. And the course itself was well-designed... lots of variety in the terrain with occasional changes in elevation. Some of the holes were a little short, but I suppose you have to accommodate all skill levels. The signage is excellent, too... I rarely needed the map. Overall a good experience!

This park is a bit of a secret to most locals. There is a lot to do including: kayaking, biking and hiking trails, 18 hole disc golf, geocaching. There is a volleyball court, picnic shelters and restrooms. It is open daily and located literally at the end of the road.

After a hearty breakfast, my friends and I went for a hike at New Quarter Park. My friends who love in Williamsburg had never heard of this park and were pleasantly surprised. We found a spot in the parking lot by the park office and headed off on the gravel road to the point (more hard pack dirt path. The path was wide and there were information sides all along the path. This path was not marked but all the trails had signs on both ends. It only took about thirty minutes to get to the point and it was a lovely view. Also this path was very flat and easy to traverse. To get back from the point, we opted to take loop 6 to look 5 and back to the parking lots. These paths had viewpoints over the marshes and were a bit more work (ups and downs; little more wet and lots of roots to go over). It was a great time. This park has a full disc golf course and there was a huge group gathering to start a game (were practicing their throws). Lots to do.

Our family wished we could bring this beautiful park home with us! New Quarter Park has numerous trails, a play area, bathrooms, a pier, bike trails, it's dog friendly, and it is bordered by gorgeous waterfront views. If you are looking for a challenging run go on the trails through the woods. Every trail is marked with signage.

I was looking for somewhere to go hiking/walking and found this park by accident. It is absolutely beautiful. It has biking, mountain biking, and hiking/walking trails. It also has a disc golf course. If you walk the whole 9 loops (as the trails are called), and visit all of the lookouts along the way, you will have walked almost 4 miles. That's a great walk and it was beautiful. There was also a free archaeological dig going on, sort of cool.

Great hidden gem for exploring all the park has to offer. Kayaking can be arranged, the osprey are coming soon. The disc golf course gives everyone a good challenge and the walking paths take you to different spots within the park.

This is a decent place for a low key visit if you want to walk through the woods (5? miles of trails) or take a mountain bike trail. They also offer disk golf for a small fee. You can launch kayaks for free after signing in. Queens Creek or Cub Creek (mainly at high tide) are interesting or you can paddle out to the York River if you are feeling energetic.

Beautiful park with great walking trails and some water stuff. Playground for the kids. Think they have frisbee golf too.
