Redoubt park is another place in the historic triangle area where you can get out and enjoy being outside as well as enjoy history. There are nice walking trails with historical info. signs to ready and learn. Nice walking park with historical markers.

I hiked the trails here in about an hour and visited the redoubts. Both are in decent shape and the trail markers help explain the campaign. This is more a natural setting so I would recommend it to the Civil War fan or the walker/hiker....More

This is a small park with some walkways that take you to fortifications remaining from the Civil War. There are some historical markers around. It's not too crowded. There's not a ton of trails, so you can fully explore in an hour or so.

Battle of Williamsburg, May 5 1862, Union troops moving up the pennssula to unseat theCSA. One of several battles in this campaign. Park is away from tourist area, so s quiet and peaceful. Can see original defensive positions of CSA.

I hiked there for several hours with my 4 grandchildren 18 months to 15 years old. Fantastic place with history boards to read and fantastic walking paths for people of all ages.
