On a recent Williamsburg Weekend Getaway we also went to the Jamestown Settlement. It has a very interesting display of an Indian village, fort settlement and three replica ships. While they may not be actually be "clipper" ships, they were amazing replicas. It was awesome...More

We visited Jamestown Settlement in June with our two teen/tween girls. We purchased a four-site Value ticket which allowed us to visit sites as we liked. The 'actors' at the settlement were very knowledgeable and interesting. As we walked up, they would engage us in...More

A really interesting and enjoyable few hours looking around the replica of the original Jamestowne Settlement. It has actors working to show you what it could have been like in the early settlement days, providing some great facts and information. There is an inside area...More

There was a lot to see and take in at this place. They have a very nice visitors center with quite a few exhibits in the building. When you exit the back of the building it takes you on a few easy to navigate pathways...More

This was a very educational experience about the early years of settlement in the America’s. I didn’t realize how little I knew, or had forgotten, concerning the early English settlers. The site was not crowded, had great amenities, and a provided guide was quite knowledgeable....More

We had an unpleasant experience with a restaurant there, but other than that we enjoyed our walk along the river.

This is a wonderful site to visit. So much to see to explore what our colonials experienced. The interpreters were very knowledgeable and interesting. However, the group leader would not allow us to explore all of these things. She’s stand and talk about irrelevant things...More

Know that this site is not the actual site and is a recreation. That said, I imagine kids would find this more palatable and probably a number of adults. It has very informative exhibits with knowledgeable staff. The restaurant is a bit disappointing, as the...More

Remember there are two Jamestown parks. One is federal the other by the state of Virginia. This is the one with the ships. Call and ask them for an answer. Laquinta hotelin town allows pets small fee. Enjoy.
