First timers. Took our 6, 10, & 12 year olds to bowl there on a Saturday night during Memorial Day weekend after 8. Loved the family friendly atmosphere. We will be back! 4 out of 5 stars because the food was awful.

My girlfriend and I were visiting the Williamsburg area and the rain started to come down in sheets and we were scrambling for a last minute indoor activity. We hadn't been bowling in about a year but figured why not. We were so pleasantly surprised on how clean the alley was and how well maintained the facility was. The General Manager was by himself working hard and he did a phenomenal job attending to all the guests, the food orders and always kept a smile on his face. $20 bucks for a lane, 2 rental shoes and unlimited bowling was a great deal. We stayed for 4 games and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!

It's an average little bowling alley but boy is it expensive. The food there is also pretty bad. Definitely not somewhere we go often.

Went to get a pitcher of beer with my friend who turns 21 the next day, the bar tender said we couldn't even though we explained to her that legally you can buy alcohol the day BEFORE your 21st birthday, so we asked for the manager. Ed the manager who sucks, came out and was extremely rude and condescending to us said he would not serve us unless we could show him proof of this 'law'. so 5 minutes later i provided him with this website

https://www.abc.virginia.gov/licenses/retail-resources/preventing-underage-sales

Which states "The attorney general's office has opined that a person attains his/her next year of age on the day prior to his/her birthday". Ed, who sucks still wouldn't serve us and was even more rude than before, probably because he suffers from short man syndrome. Anyways Ed, who sucks, is now telling us he would call an ABC representative and get back to us. After three games and no sight of Ed, who sucks, we left beer-less and sad. So Ed, if you're reading this, you suck, I mean you really really suck.

Horrible customer service. I stood waiting while the staff members talked for a couple minutes . I was greeted with a what do u need. I told her we wanted to bowl. She replied with first of all you need to take ur soda outside then you can come back up here. Very rude old lady. Ok can't bring a soda inside. No problem. You shouldn't talk down to ur customers who r there to spend money that contributes to ur paycheck. I left after that. I do not spend money at places that act like the customer is a burden

Again this is a bowling ally - not a tourist attraction - and not even a very good bowling ally - ok if you are bored on vacation

Williamsburg Lanes caught our attention late last year as clean, smoke-free, and modern. Decent family deals that include bowling, pizza, drinks, etc. However, when we returned last week, we found that their policy has changed in regard to the use of bumpers. 2 different staff members and the assistant manager refused to allow us to use bumpers, citing a new policy of using them for "younger kids" only; our 14-year olds falling outside of this category. Despite this, the 30-somethings two lanes down were allowed to use theirs, as were other non-younger kids in the alley. To some, this might not be a big deal, but for a facility that "values" family fun, novice bowlers--including our teenagers, one of whom is mildly autistic--didn't have nearly as much fun as we could have. In the future, we'll go to York Lanes in Yorktown. Williamsburg Lanes, thumbs down to your new, selectively enforced, policy.

We don't bowl that much, my wife really wanted to. They honored the Labor Day special so it was cheaper than expected. Food was great and very friendly staff. I need to practice bowling.

Tropical storm Andrea blew in on our last day, and we had a 6 & 2 year old. Bowling was just the ticket. It is a nice establishment with plenty of lanes. They have a snack bar, full bar and pro shop. Once we started bowling, they went to black lights and disco music - the kids loved it. Automatic scoring. My only down point was they didn't have enough bowling balls - especially in the 8 lb (or kid size) range. This is not really their fault - at this time they were filled with kids like us, and they did make the best of it. If you are in Williamsburg and need a rainy day event, or need to kill a couple of hours, it is a great place.
