Eco Discovery Park is your year-round destination for bike and kayak rentals. Bike or paddle areas where America’s founders once traveled; from Jamestown to Williamsburg and areas in between. We are located across from Jamestown Settlement and offer bike and kayak rentals, a full-service marina and a marina store stocked with cold beverages, snacks, ice cream, bait, tackle and boat supplies. Our close proximity to the Virginia Capital Trail and Jamestown Island make us the perfect location for a leisurely bike ride. If a longer mileage ride is your cup of tea, we have opportunities for you also. Take a ride on the Colonial Parkway to Yorktown and back —your chance for a long bike ride along the scenic York River. The cycling opportunities in our area are endless! If you prefer a quiet paddle along the historic Powhatan Creek, we are your kayak rental destination. Paddle the waterway where Captain John Smith and others traveled as they settled on Jamestown Island. Enjoy the peace and quiet as you view the many birds native to our area. Experience the natural beauty that surround Jamestown; explore by land or water; enjoy eagles, ospreys and herons in their natural habitat.

We came here to find some geocaches. In January there isn't as much to do. Great views at the marina. Would like to come back in the summer. Bike trail looks awesome

This is a great place to hang out on a sunny day. The weather was perfect and there are plenty of pinic locations, trashcans and CLEAN bathrooms.

This is no longer Eco Discovery Park. Now owned and operated by James City County. This location is outstanding. They rent Trek Hybrid and Comfort bikes, trailers, and some kids bikes too. You are at the beginning of the Virginia Capital Trail, the Colonial Parkway,...More

If you enjoy bird watching or just getting out on the water for a little while, rent a kayak to see a different view of nature. The rates are reasonable and it is a great way for the kids to get out some energy!

Although now being run by James City, this is still a great place to rent paddleboards, kayaks and bikes. The staff is friendly and helpful. First timers should go with Powhatan Creek, more experienced can try the James and go right past the historical settlement

Though owned by the county now the water is still there to get you where you are going with a ramp and plenty of choices. Straight into the James River, up and around the flatter and shorter creek or around to go up to College...More

At the marina you can rent kayaks or bicycles and enjoy either the James river for kayaking or. Cycling on the nearby bicycle trail. Lots of fun.

If I remember correctly it was $24 for two bikes for 2 hours. I remember thinking it wasn't particularly expensive.
