We enjoyed a couple beers (Superb IPA, Thaw Amber Ale) from this local brewery. Both were superbly delicious. They have 16 beers on tap! We also had a hot doughy pretzel with some type of mustard sauce which was quite good. I wish we could have taken the tour, but we missed the last one. Smoking/vaping is prohibited (so we can all better enjoy the beer!). We were there on a Friday afternoon (4PM), and there was a great mix of people...not too crowded. It's definitely a fun atmosphere with so many choices.

I came up from Richmond to Kayak with friends & went to Alewerks which was close to where we were. Staff was pretty friendly and beer was good. They have a tent in the parking lot, but it was warm so we sat outside-its a smaller area of tables between the taproom and brewery facing the parking lot. I didn't give it 5 stars mainly because they had a food truck called Foodatude and the guy running it is kind of a jerk. Very unfriendly like a grumpy old man-like dude why are you even there? If you don't want to work go home and don't ruin it for everyone else-if I'm paying for your food, maybe don't act like it's an inconvenience to get out of your chair and make it. Most food trucks have people stay in them to cook or bring food to the customers, not sitting outside of it. Maybe I shouldn't mark the brewery down for this, but I asked some of the other customers and they said that food truck is there a lot. They should get someone friendlier and the food was just okay.

We love to visit new breweries when traveling. We were happy to visit Alewerks on our first day of vacation in Williamsburg, Virginia. We got to the brewery at the end of the day and were pleased to find nice outdoor seating and a super friendly staff when we walked in the front door to order beers. We especially loved Tori, full of personality and humor even at the end of the day. She was great telling us about the brewery’s IPA’s best sellers, flights and crowlers. Out favorite IPA was Eagle Air Guitar...hazy, juicy and full of flavor. Loved our first visit here and will be back.

We stopped here because we had a free tasting pass from Wedmore Place. I'm happy we did!! The bartender was incredibly friendly and accommodating and we felt right at home. The beer was good and we had a nice table in the corner far away from others. The steady stream of people coming in made clear we weren't the only ones to appreciate this place. We bought several beers to go for ourselves and for gifts.

Great beer! Living here, we stop in all the time and they are fantastic about a seasonal rotation. Even though this last time there wasn’t one I was overwhelmed by, I can 90% of the time find something that I adore! They always have on tap a lager (Weekend- it’s good) and an IPA (Superb- husband says it’s fantastic). But I adore their seasonals like Shortcake (blonde ale) and Tangerine (wheat). Their most recent, Bitter Valentine is a DIPA that even I am okay with (and I hate IPAs normally).
They have food trucks daily, call to find out which one is there. And be warned! If it’s quiet, the truck will close up way early (gee thanks Foodatude for closing 2 1/2 hours before the brewery closing!!)😐
They have a satellite at the Williamsburg Outlets so that’s awesome too. A nice break from shopping!

A great way to end our visit to the outlets. My hubby got the sampler which included 6 of their flavors for a little over $20. He liked the ones he chose. They actually have 5 pumpkin flavors right now. Nothing really here for non beer drinkers. Plenty of seating. Definitely a popular spot at the outlets.

The beers were great. Jubilee was nice. Had a unique flavor. Me and my wife both got a 6 flight which was WAYY too much. A couple could definitely share a 6 flight. Was definitely a fun experience. We came on karaoke night which added some fun into it.

Nice place to go while waiting for family members shopping. Good variety of strong beers. We also played cards. There were other games, too. Good location at Premium Outlets.

Young female bartender was more interested in talking with her friends than pouring beer. I didn't care for any of the beers. Shuffleboard was fun. Entertainment isn't worth mentioning. Food truck was great. We had pulled pork and it rocked!!!
Not worth a visit.
