Our one-hour Ghostly Tales tour takes you through Williamsburg's historic area in the evening. You will be introduced to the historic importance of each site visited, you will hear of the local ghostly legends that surround them, and of recent encounters with the spirits that reside there. Our Walk About History tour is a one-hour introduction to the history of Williamsburg - its historical importance, development in the 18th century, glimpses into daily life of colonial inhabitants, and modern restoration. An excellent choice if you have limited time to visit Williamsburg, or are looking for an in-depth orientation before touring the town on your own.

We had a wonderful experience and a unique perspective of the historical aspects of life in Colonial Williamsburg from the late 1600s through the early 1900s. We were able to learn about some important African Americans who shaped and even aided in the survival of the community during earlier times. It was a remarkable view of an area of history... More

We did the African American History Walking Tour and it was very informative and eye opening. I believe this tour is excellent for everyone regardless of your race. There's only one Lady that currently does this tour and she was very open, honest and knowledgeable, she was excellent. The only reason you might not want to try this tour is... More

Williamsburg Walking Tours is the only tour company I could find offering this type of tour in Williamsburg. African Americans (AA) played a major part in Williamsburg history. But throughout my many visits to WB I've never seen much on AA history. So I Was interested to know more. Trish was our guide. Trish is an outstanding guide. She is... More

We are indeed the only tour company in Williamsburg offering this type of tour. We originated it to fill a long-standing void in available information. We do our own, extensive research and the true reward is appreciation from visitors like you. That makes us work even harder to earn our reputation. Please come back again! More

I booked and paid for this tour online from the UK a good few months before our holiday. This went through no problems and I was emailed a reminder nearer the time. We were met at the arranged meeting point given in the info on booking. The lady was very friendly, very informative, and definately not boring! we had an... More

We were fortunate that on our Sunday morning walking tour of Williamsburg we had Trish all to ourselves. She proved herself to be a knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide and brought to life this fascinating town. We don't learn much about the American war of independence in history lessons in England but the gap in our knowledge was entertainingly filled.

We have been on many of the tours. Every one of our guides have been outstanding in their knowledge of the subject of the tour.

I was very DISAPPONTED in this tour. When I called to book this tour I had originally wanted to do the Ghost Walk. I asked the representative which one she thought was best and she said the Ghost Among Us, so I paid $5.00 more for that tour and she asked was I bringing kids, I said no, so I... More

Our guide was full of information and presented it in a way that was accessible and interesting to adults and children. My only request is that a handout should be available on the tour that lists all of the many names that were mentioned on the tour so that history nerds like me can do more research on our own....
