This is a lovely little park with a lot to do. They have one of the best dock systems with rollers for pulling kayaks out of the water and also rent Kayaks during the warmer months. There are piers for fishing from and a small boat ramp as well. We hiked on two trails that wound along the lake. The... More

ran on the bike path and the overlook trail - lonely but safe- saw some squirrels, some deer, and a goose. Nice run! Trail is 2 miles one way so 4 miles round trip; overlook path is about 1.8mile loop

Biked from our campground 2-1/2 miles. Fishing and hiking are main things to do. Very pretty. Would go there again.

Our family spent the afternoon walking around the park and enjoying the early fall weather. The kids enjoyed the swings, slides and other playground equipment. We only spent a few hours there and plan to visit again if time permits on this trip. Admission and parking was $2 for the day. You are given a machine generated parking ticket when... More

Yes paved trail, but right alongside airport road, so not peaceful. Parking only at boathouse, where you pay $2 parking fee, need ticket to exit park. You have to walk down the road, past gate to access the paved trail, a bit difficult to get past with a wheelchair/scooter. Would be greatly improved if they had a paved sidewalk from... More

I was expecting much more when they charge you to enter a lake, but I was sadly disappointed. It was a lake, nothing special. They rent boats, but for an entrance fee you get to look at water. They charge for every thing and the kicker is they will rent you fishing equipment but you have to leave to get... More

Great size park for being so close to everything, paddle boats, John boats, the works, awesome side trip for some outdoor time, spent a lot of time here just "escaping" the somewhat hustle and bustle that Williamsburg can be, would recommend a stop if you like the greenery, walking shoes are a good idea

We rented a canoe for each couple and spent about two hours on the water. We could have easily gone longer but wanted to take a hike as well. Area is beautiful! We did the overlook trail which was about 3 miles and took us about 1.5 hours at an enjoyable pace. Spent $10 for the day and had a... More

We stayed in the WIlliamsburg area for a week, and wanted an outdoors activity aside from the theme parks. We rented canoes for an hour... which was not quite long enough for my wife and I, but was about 10 minutes to long for my 8 and 6 year old. The setting was beautiful. We also enjoyed a 2 mile...
