Fun place to cool off!
Went with two thirteen year old kids. If you like water rides this is a fun place. I recommend getting At least the lounger package. There is not much shade here so the it was greatly appreciated. The food was better than we expected. We had pizza and the chicken tenders. The bathrooms were clean however later in the day the floors were pretty wet. The attendant was cleaning them often. Now the lines… I recommend paying extra in advance for the quick queue pass. When I purchased the tickets they were around $40/person however we waited till that day and they costed $100/person. Seems to be a rip off but waiting over one hour for one ride was worse. My advice pay the extra in advance!!!. The rides were fun for adults as well as teens. We did the wave pool but it got super crowded after 12. If you don’t mind going late and staying late, go at 4. Most of the people left by then and the lines were shorter. Lastly. Most rides allowed you to wear shoes, that was a plus, the ground go so hot it burned everyone’s feet. Have fun!

Not COVID safe
Aug 2021
Too many people in the park, no one pays attention to the 3 inch circles on the floor for distancing, there should be slot times for entry.Went to welcome center there was about 25 people on the line with one person attending. Told the one gentleman behind the counter that I needed to speak to a supervisor to complain about the so many people on line with one attendee and he told me there is nothing a supervisor can do because there was only one computer working. That’s a shame for a big park like this and only one computer working.my daughter wanted dipping dots and it s so crazy to believe that thru the whole park they ran out and waiting for delivery

If you were to ask me, I would choose Water Country over Bush Gardens a thousand times. Of course, in the summer time. Fun, lots of different pools and water amusements this is just great for a fun day with family and kids!

Racist and Unsanitary during Pandemic
Jul 2021 • Family
On 7/31/21, I had the displeasure of visiting your park for the first time since we entered a pandemic. I expected to enter an establishment that limited park capacity and practiced cleanliness to ensure patrons safety from the virus. Instead I entered a Covid 19 breeding ground, where all parts of the park; lines, bathrooms, eating areas, kid areas, etc. Were packed to the brim with people. There was no way the park was not at or over capacity. There was no way or option to practice social distancing and with the new variant among us, and a park basically being run by teenagers, this felt reckless and irresponsible.
Then there was the extreme lack of diversity within your employees. There was an overwhelming amount of Caucasian males seen as proud employees yet where were the people of color?
Lastly, I would like to discuss the bigotry witnessed and experienced with member of your first aid staff. Between 2 and 3pm I was in the first aid hut by Launch Pad to nurse. You can verify who was working, 2 people a Caucasian male and female who were over 40. They greeted a black woman with 2 missing girls. A 10 and 12 year old with names starting with S and K. Once her children were found and she exited, I witnessed the employees make bigoted and extremely inappropriate statements about the black woman's names for her children and black people in general and our names and spelling of our names. I was appalled. Not only by their racially charged statements but also for their blatant disrespect for me, a black woman, mere feet away from them. It is unfortunate being that an overwhelming amount of patrons that enjoy your establishment are of African descent yet we cannot obtain the same respect as our white counterparts at your park. This incident forced me to nurse in the family restrooms. The dirty and unsanitary family restroom, causing me to discard that days milk due to environmental conditions.
It saddens me that Water Country USA has stooped to an all time low of health and safety, diversity, and racial sensitivity. I feel obligated to share these experiences and warn others of this parks decline in quality. I must urge those I know and love to seek water entertainment elsewhere and to forward this to anyone they can as well.

A sad remnant of a better time.
If you like overcrowding and the smell of urine, then this is your place. I hate to spend so bleak but this is what my family experienced throughout the stay. The rides need to be updated and maintained better. Just like Busch Gardens, they push you to get a season pass to save money and get discounts. This place is mainly for kids and teens. Adults can and do have fun but it's limited. On my next visit, I'll try the other water park in the area. As for this place, I can't see myself returning other than for my kids.

Too many people! No COVID protocols
Simply put - too many people! There are zero COVID protocols, unless you count signs telling you to social distance in a line that has 400 people in on top of each other.
Understaffed. Things closed making lines even longer. Life jackets they provide were floating everywhere because there weren’t staff to clean them up. Bathrooms were gross and clearly not well attended.
We booked our tickets when reservations were required. They lifted that policy last week and it is clear the almighty dollar is the only thing they care about, as they were packed. Wall to wall people - long waits for rides.
It would be nice is these large businesses actually valued the customer experience and capped capacity for the number of actual seats they have in the park. It would make folks more inclined to return if the experience was better.
We won’t be back. Had it not been an add on day to our BG ticket and we had paid full price, I would have been really angry. As it was, I think we only got to do 4 rides with the crowds and waits. Not worth the price of admission for what you get. My kids spent most of the time in the Hubba Hubba Highway which is a lazy river without the rafts… so basically a pool.
We’ve been to a number of water parks and this one is bottom of the list.
Water Country needs to really get it together.

Good experience overall
Jul 2021
There were positives and negatives to this water park, but overall I was pleasantly surprised. We got there right at 10 and there were not too many long lines. As the day progressed, more people came and things got a little crowded. We lasted in the wave pool for less than 5 minutes, so many people. The kids' areas were well supervised and the staff was friendly for the most part. Few major negatives:
1) Hand sanitizer empty throughout park
2) Bathrooms really smelled
3) Very expensive food and drink, we ended up packing and eating in our car (could not find picnic area)
4) Regular locker very small, go for the middle option if you have a regular size backpack
5) I don't think WC can control this well, but some of the bathing suits were downright obscene. Cover your butt please for the sake of all of us, but especially young children.

The highlights of the trip were the Hubba Hubba Highway, Cowabunga, Jet Scream, Big Daddy Falls, and the Kids Korral. Be careful on Cutback if you have back issues. Lots of flotation devices available and lifeguards.

My kids (11, 8, and 5) had a good time overall. We did not bother with trying to reserve a cabana or lounge chairs, we just moved from place to place.

Really disgusting
Well, we were able to get wet on a hot summer day. We didn’t have terrible lines since we went at 4:30. And we only had to use the restroom once while we were there. These were the positives. The wave pool was so crowded even late in the day and it was very dirty. Our one bathroom trip was truly horrifying. My kids seem emotionally scarred from what we saw, smelled and heard in there. I don’t know if it can get that bad in one day or if that was a week’s worth of neglect. I’ve used squat pots in China and this was a whole new level of disgust. I would not go back here (even though my ticket was good for 7 days). I would not recommend it to anyone I know. It was bad.

Stay Away
We went last Saturday with it being one of the hottest days of this summer along with the reservation policy being lifted. We went as soon as the park opened at 10 and it was nice, there were chairs available and reasonable wait times for the water slides. After 12 it was a different story, it was way too crowded, over an hour wait for any slide, 30 people waiting in line at the lazy river, could barely walk on the walkways because of people camping under the shade trees, not enough staff at the food pavilions, garbage over flowing out of trash cans, running out of food, and it became not fun at all! Biggest concern was not enough of lifeguards at the water areas and it felt like complete chaos. Food was way over priced, not always cooked, and ended up paying even though we had the unlimited meal plan. I get the staffing shortage, shout out to all the staff who were there trying their best, but shame on corporate for overcrowding an understaffed park. Will not be coming back anytime soon!

A fun time for the family....
13 members of our family (age range 2 to 74), went to the Park, and had a great time overall.
The group rented 2 cabanas, and found them to be a useful and convenient. The only drawback, for those with mobility issues, it's a bit of a trek reaching them.
The lazy river was relaxing; but did become quite crowded by noon.
There were many options for all ages of the group to pursue, though lines for the adult attractions were close to an hour wait.
The food included with the cabanas was decent, about what one would expect in these covid times.
Overall, everyone had a pretty good time, with the joy of a long overdue family gathering mitigating any shortcomings in the venue.
