Good wine, need more staff

Great experience with wine and oil/balsamic tasting

The checkout line was egregiously long.
They didn’t have enough employees working to handle the clientele.

Hidden Gem in South Central Virginia

Definitely worth the drive from north of DC.

Drove down from Maryland on a Friday afternoon to try some new wineries. Stopped in a Molon Lave and was most impressed with not only the wines, but the winery and definitely the staff.

Their selection was so good that my wife decided to join their wine club – which completely shocked me.

We walked out this time with 6 bottles – their Ariadne port and Rose as gifts, and the Pinot Grigio, Viognier, Diathesi white port and Chardonnay. All were very enjoyable – though I personally wasn’t a fan of the Katie’s Charm and the Greek - Kokineli.
Stewart was our server and was most cordial and knowledgeable.

I will definitely be going back here, and next time be bringing several friends along with me.

Ambiance: casual, chill
Wine: Amazing
Bathrooms: Very clean
Parking: free lot

Would recommend: Definitely
Would re-patronize: YES!

Go Greek!!!
Nov 2018
Family owned, this winery represents the great pride that the Papadopoulos group richly deserves after 4 generations of splendid wines and olive oils. The venue is lovely and a wonderful place to have a large party or even a wedding reception.
Wines are mostly good.

Very welcoming
Nov 2018 • Couples
Unlike a lot of reviewers, we did not do a tour; just went for a wine tasting. We had gone to 3 different wineries this day and I would say the folks here were the most welcoming and extremely knowledgeable. Since the owners are Greek, there are some different varieties of wine, which was a good change of pace from the same old, same old from other wineries. I would highly recommend a visit.

Groupon - Great Tour
Aug 2018 • Friends
Groupon had a special to tour the vineyard, enjoy an olive oil tasting, and get a snack plate for 2. I was blown away by the value. One of the owners took us out to the vineyard and showed us the grapes that are currently growing, telling us about the process and the winery. She was so nice and attentive, answering all of our questions. We then went into the wine cellar, where the wines are aging and learned a bit more about the process. We had fresh, warm bread for tasting the olive oils they offer, and the snack tray was more than we could even eat. It was such a great experience. We enjoyed a couple glasses of wine while we were there and each bought some to enjoy at home later. I was very impressed with the care they put into the entire experience.

Enjoyable afternoon here.

We did a tasting and tour here. Our guide was very friendly and well informed about the vineyards and wine making process. The wine is very good and a fun experience with our guide. The day we were there, we also had an olive oil tasting which was great. Enjoy!

Good wine & Good people
Apr 2017 • Couples
Group of us went and visited "Mediterranean Cellars". Upon entering that establishment, we had met the son of "Mediterranean Cellars" which happens to be the owner of this place. Small world huh.
After meeting him, we had made a point to visit this place and was well worth it.
Greeter and pourer was Katherine the daughter of the owner and granddaughter of "Mediterranean Cellars"
Visiting was in February (I know it states April) near Valentines Day and was on a Sunday. Was really windy and cold outside but within the was very warm.
Ask about the name
Katherine was most knowledgable of the wines and kind hearted.
Recommend doing a tasting and then purchase a bottle of wine (or three) and enjoy a socialable snack with friends, family, and loved ones. Well worth your visit.

Family Vacation
Aug 2017 • Family
This was the first stop on our weeklong vacation. Located just a little over an hour from Washington DC we can not say enough about our visit here. Ray our tour guide was funny, friendly and very knowledgeable about the winery and the whole process of turning grapes into delicious Kosher wine. We were a family of 11 with only 5 over the age to have a taste test. Even the underage kids loved the tour and enjoyed all that Ray had to say. The grounds were beautiful and despite the drizzle we got to walk around and see it all. A definite place to visit.

Beautiful winery location and great customer service
Aug 2017 • Couples
We stopped by this winery on a Friday afternoon. The winery is in a beautiful location. I can imagine it's a great place to have a picnic by the pond. On the day we were there it was too hot and humid so we enjoyed the indoor tasting. We were helped by Ray who was friendly, informative and very helpful by providing other recommendations for things to do in the area. The wines are good so it's worth stopping by for a tasting.

Truth in lending our whole family love The family who owns this and Mediterranean Cellars. The wine is good, but the friendly atmosphere is unbeatable. My wife's colleagues have been known to congregate here to relax after a long week. They are always welcomed.
