This monument is a great testament to the military that drives the local community and economy. It was pleasant to see the city want to embrace the heritage in the area and well worth a stop if your down at the beach.

This memorial park had several sculptures that commemorated different periods of time. Since it was in December, we only visited the outside part of the monument but there may be an adjacent building with more to see.

We arrived in Virginia Beach the Tuesday after Labor Day and one evening during our stay we were walking up Atlantic Ave and ran across this monument. If you are in the area & have an interest in aviation, do not miss this monument!

We were just walking out to look at the beach one evening and happened to pass the monument. Since one of our party was from England and just happens to be a military aviation fan, we lingered for a while to fully appreciate all aspects...More

These statues etc. are outdoors and available for viewing. If you can get there, they can be seen!
