I recently had a very disappointing experience at Ocean Breeze Waterpark, primarily due to the dreadful customer service. The "DIRECTOR OF FOOD AN BEVERAGES" Ms. Caroline Prickett displayed horrible customer etiquette, making our visit even more frustrating. We visited the park for less than 2 hours, spending over $500, only to receive a measly $60 rain check when the weather turned bad. Ms. Prickett had the audacity to suggest we should have planned our trip better, which was incredibly unhelpful and rude. The rain check policy is unfair and should not exist. I would not recommend this park if it was the last waterpark in the United States to anyone.

Spend a little more money and get the cabana. It is worth the expense of having a semi-private area to have folks retreat to. The service is amazing and no fears of your stuff going missing. The rides are decent and the lines are manageable. The lazy river and tidal pool are always a hit with the family. Minutes away from the beach proper.

Really great family experience while traveling with kids. Parking was fast and close because we arrived right at opening. The wavepool was safe for my 6&7 year old. They preferred that then the kiddie water playground. The lifeguards in the kiddie playground were completely on guard and actively watching the children. The rides were worth the trip. My only complaint was the wet bathroom floors. The bathroom floor was a soggy wetness growing a cesspool of germs because of the heat. Some people were not concerned and walked around the bathroom barefoot. We rented a cabana and it was wonderful. It gave us a shaded spot for the family to hang out. The price was worth it for the cabana. Unfortunately there were limited servers for the cabanas so the average wait for food was one hour before food and drink orders returned. I watched cabana members complain and get thier food before me before I asked about the status of our food. Great experience over all.

We got the season passes through the military travel office. The park is clean, the rides have lifeguards. The concession stand is nice and has lots of food options. The lockers are handy, my only complaint would be more seating for people who bring their kids and just want to sit and relax.

Went with 4 teens in the twilight session from 4-6p. Was just the right amount of time for them and cost. Don't think it would have occupied them for the whole day, but the time we were there was fun. Liked Neptune's revenge and some of the smaller slides. Was very crowded, but lines weren't too long for us during the middle of the week.

Back in the 80s/90s, when my children were growing up, I loved Wild Water Rapids! It was fun and enjoyable for children and adults alike. Yesterday, as a grandmother, I took my daughter and granddaughter to Ocean Breeze (formerly Wild Water Rapids), and I can't begin to tell you how extremely disappointed I was! It wasn't so much the prices of everything. but the overall experience. Everything is now too cramped and chopped up, and there is no feeling of openness in the park. I realize this is a very personal critique, and that I'm probably in the minority, but I will not return. Everything was extremely disappointing, which makes me sad. I would love it if someone can explain to me why a great water park has turned into a mediocre one.

Okay. So this place is legitimately fun.
Went with my 10 yo on a mother/daughter end of Summer trip Labor Day weekend. Park was busy, but not crowded. Lines never felt outrageous. There is such a variety that people are comfortably spread out. Even got pizza with almost no line.
The small child area looks amazing and the biggest slides/rides are pretty scary/intense. Prices for everything were reasonable considering peak season and comparing to other parks.
We spent 7 hours at the park. Next year we plan to return with my husband and younger child. We plan to rent one of the cabanas by the wave pool. They look awesome.

We really enjoyed this park! It was clean, had fun rides and the lines weren’t too long. The lazy river covered a pretty large area and we had no trouble getting tubes. We even stayed and went around a second time since no one was waiting for a tube. There are slides of all types. I really liked the tube slides. My kids are older so they did the body slides too. If you have young kids, there is a whole separate area with smaller slides and things to climb. They also have a nice wave pool. Reviewers who are calling it small should do their research before going. You can read all about the slides on their website. I thought they had a lot to offer and made great use of their space.

False advertising on what you can use your meal plan on. Now you can no longer get a bottle of water as your drink for your meal. If you have health issues that prohibit you from drinking soda you are out of luck. Recently the park has been very dirty and not having good maintenance for bathrooms etc. I have been coming here for 20 years with a season pass but things have really gone downhill.

This visit was the second time bringing my grandchildren. They love it. I personally love the lazy river. The children were busy all day long. This and the time before was the first day of our vacation. I bought tickets and rented shaded chairs by the wave pool. Great fun.

Looking to come here in July.. Is there any shaded areas besides the cabanas to sit under? Like any tables with umbrellas? .. Anyone that has brought a young toddler around 15 months any suggestions?! Thanks!
Written June 27, 2019
Yes, in the children's area there is a large shade patio. There are lounge chairs there. I have a special needs grandson, so they allowed me to bring my superbrella so I could create his quiet area when it was needed.

If the park is closed due to a private event (see a visitor's review from 5/26/2018), will the park refund your purchase price if you purchased tickets in advance?
Written June 20, 2018
You should be entitled to a refund or a change of day. They practice great customer service at Ocean Breeze.
Written June 22, 2018
what is the best day during the week to go as to avoid some of the lines? Also, are there shaded areas with chairs or is it best to get a cabana or VIP seating?
Written June 12, 2017
The tourism season peaks in July and the busiest days are Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The water park is filled with activities and keeps the clientele moving and busy. Shady spots are available and some parents supervising their children may be disinterested in the rides, but the intriguing nature of the rides keeps people moving. I recommend taking a camera to capture those memorable moments, but be aware, someone else is looking for your shady spot, too. If vigilant, you should be able to find a shady spot at some point. If sunburn is a concern, you should bring sun block lotion until a shady spot becomes available. The sun can be intense during the summer. Have fun on the adventure river or at the wave pool! It's great for all ages!

The park usually closes on the day after Labor Day, which is Sept. 4, 2017. Nearly all their employees are students, and that is the first day of school.

i did not see any weight restrictions. I went on the rides and I',m 250 lbs. I would check with the Park just to make sure. The rides are slides and inner tubes, the wave pool etc. Don't think the park is open anyway.
