The first couple of days on our visit the waves were rough and the lifeguards had the red flag out. We brought surf boards and boogie boards which we couldn't do much of the rough waves. We walked along the shore and play in the sand. The waves eventually calmed down and it was fun playing at the beach. When... More

I always see Sandbridge Beach on lists of '10 Best Beaches You've Never Heard Of' or 'Best Secluded Beaches' so while my husband and I are visiting Virginia Beach I wanted to check out Sandbridge Beach. It's a nice drive to the beach past a beautiful old church that was built in 1830, then a horse farm, then a farm... More

Sandbridge is a beautiful place to visit. It has man different houses that you can rent for a week or a weekend. A great place to go for a family or if you want a little less traffic on the beach.

We walked along the shoreline and saw several pods of dolphins, collected lots of shells, and just enjoyed the view. Gorgeous sunrises!

No matter what the time of the year this is a beautiful place. Not too far from tourist attractions like the boardwalk and shops, but far enough away to provide a more relaxing experience. The area is home to quaint places and very nice people. I love to go to Sandbridge!

We happened across this beach and pier on our way back from the Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge. It is worth the stop to watch the surfers, kids playing in the sand, people fishing, etc. Nothing really out of the ordinary but just a nice place to relax.

Sandbridge is a run of the mill beach, in my opinion. It is clean and quiet, but is not as much fun as Bethany, the Outer Banks, or Myrtle Beach. Would I go back? Absolutely. Craig Herberg
