We stayed near the end beside the park, so it was pretty quiet and peaceful. The beach was really wide and nice. We were there the week after a huge storm so there was a definite line of seawood and seagrasses. There was no trash. The area is really nice and not built up with lots of commercial buildings and... I was asked a few questions about the wave height at Sandbridge Beach. Having lived in the area since 93 and having raised a child of my own I know that is the first question on my mind is water safty. Here is how I handled it being a local. The number one place to take children that don't swim... More

After seeing this beach featured on an msn list as some of the best beaches in the US, my parents decided to visit last year. They liked it so much that they brought the family back this year. I thought it was ok, but overrated. The beach and less crowded than other beaches, but I did not feel that it... More

This is a much slower pace beach then the direct beach in front of the boardwalk on Atlantic Ave...has a great fishing pier for a small fee to have hours of fun ... Beach has lifeguards and lots of surfers to watch...very peaceful and unspoiled

I will never go to any other beach again.. we have seen more wildlife at sandbridge beach in the past 5 days than I have in my 31 years of visiting beaches. By far the best beach I have found yet

Cool beach with lot's of shore line to walk and surf. We set up that can jam and played for awhile. Drinking deers, having out and enjoying the weather. The water is cooler on the west coast of course and not very clear, but the beach and the ocean are asked a great place to be. It was a fun... More

Sandbridge is awesome. Beautiful is an understatment. We are on day 2 of 7 and I will not want to leave. We have seen dolphins jumping. Ghost crabs, hotshot crabs, and blue crabs. And now a sea turtle. My granddaughters first trip is amazing.

This beach is great off season. We were able to have an impromptu bbq at one of the pavilions. There is also a playground. The location is quiet and does not have all of the touristy look. I'm glad we stumpled upon this little gem.

Miles of beach to walk and explore. It is easy to access and lots of room to find a spot to put your chairs and towels down.

We chose this beach as an alternative to the more developed and more crowded Virginia Beach. It was only a few miles south, but worth it for the quiet, serene beach.
