The area was very clean and well kept. A nice way to take a walk down the shore without getting in the sand. There was also a separate area for bicycles, which was nice.

The boardwalk, actually concrete is fantastic. There is a separate bike path that run parallel to the boardwalk so that riders and walkers don't cross paths, if only the bikers would use it. The best thing is there are no bars, that we saw, on the boardwalk.

For this NJ boy, it was odd to hear this described as a "boardwalk" as there were no actual wooden boards (it's actually a wide cement promenade), but it was very clean and I am happy to say that I power walked the entire 5.4 roundtrip walk! Also, unlike NJ boardwalks, there are no amusement rides and stores (they are a block back on Atlantic) but there are plenty of ocean front bars and restaurants at the hotel high rises along this boardwalk. There are public restrooms as well. There are many works of art, not the least of which is the spectacular Neptune statue! There is an adjacent bike path to the boardwalk although many rode their bikes on the boardwalk proper. There were some shops on the huge pier on the boardwalk. There were also some excellent street performers on the boardwalk. We were there in October, so I'm guessing in season that this boardwalk has much more to offer with vendors and performers. Loved it!

The boys (14 & 11) had a great time on the beach today! On and off rain with 70 degree temperatures and light variable winds. This is a great time to visit — highly recommended.

This is a great boardwalk. Although we don't have little ones it seems to be a very family friendly boardwalk on the beach. Although I felt very safe, it would have been nice to see some police/ security presence as some people ignored the very obvious frequent signs as to where the bike path was. Come on really people. Also although lots of signage about NO skateboards, people ignored this too. Otherwise again, very family oriented.
