Vacation on the beach was fantastic! We will certainly come back to this area.

We have visited several boardwalks throughout the years, and Virginia Beach is by far one of the nicest and cleanest. People all around were friendly and made us feel welcomed.

Nice clean beach, Plenty of parking options nearby (10$ max) gets real crowded though we went on a long weekend and could not get a hotel near the beach, so that was a bummer. try to get a hotel on the beach, loved the boardwalk took bikes one with child carrier seat for rent (8-10$ per 2 hours) and had... It's just a big cement sidewalk - with a lot of ugly hotels on one side - and a nice view of the ocean on the other. I don't get why some people would be excited over this.

I love being able to walk and the separation of biking. The availability of handicapp access to the beach.

This promenade was very nice to walk in the morning with the exception of the homeless people. I was really surprised to see so many!

The boardwalk at Virginia Beach is actually a concrete walkway, with a separate paved area for cyclists. Hotels and some restaurants are along this "boardwalk" area, but the stores and shops are one block off the boardwalk. The concrete walkway is quite wide, and there are guardrails the entire length if you wish to lock your bicycle while walking on... More

This is by far one of the nicest boardwalks along the Atlantic coast. The boardwalk has no shops.... But is a beautiful concrete paved boardwalk stretching several miles. It's got two large sides... One for cycles and a wide area for pedestrians separated by beautiful plants and hedges and beach grasses. Very family friendly and a wonderful place any time... More

My wife and I go to the boardwalk (no boards, all concrete) in the off-season to get our fresh air and exercise. We usually go in the mid-morning. If you're visiting as a tourist, the late afternoon is better when the hotels give you some shade. Virginia Beach has greatly improved the resort area since we moved here decades ago... More

The boardwalk is a great place to go for a walk after a good dinner (and/or with a frozen yoghurt to enjoy:) ) The scenery is amazing and the people are having a good time. If you plan on going to Virginia Beach, this is something I can really recommend! It is also great for families with kids.

Unbelievable this Boardwalk is by the best one I've seen yet. Wake up in the morning and see the military doing there run.. They also have mini showers so u can rinse off from the beach/ ocean.. Plus they have a bicycle path. So nobody get run over.. And it's wide so everyone got room to walk. Love it..
