Hurricane prevented us from our original plans so having never been to Virginia Beach we decided to give it a try. It did not disappoint us. Enjoyed people watching and walking the boardwalk. Good enough restaurant choices near by.

I would def take a full winter coat and if water play is important I would get a hotel with an indoor pool. If you love the ocean you will not be disappointed. Prices of hotel rooms are way down and available.

I ate ate YNot, an Italian place that had a nice patio and a family had their dog. They even opened the patio for them. I was only there one night but saw lots of patios and lots of people with dogs....
