We participated in the first of a series of Runs today in the 5K, this morning beginning at 8 o'clock. Although there were 439 runners in the 5K, followed by a host of runners in the 1 mile race which followed--this was so well run and organized, there wasn't a glitch whatsoever. From the moment you parked your car, there... More

I love going to this recreation area, as you can walk and run around a manmade mountain and lake. There is a play area for the children and I think skateboard park too. Lots of picnic pavilions that you can reserve for groups or just hav e family picnic. It was clean and relaxing with plenty of parking too. Great... More

I used to live near here in the 80's. But when I returned it is still such a nice place, only BETTER! The grounds are still well kept. And it is very peaceful!

Went with a 2 year old and 3 year old and both had fun climbing on the large playground structure and running down the large hill. Nice bathrooms onsite, and a snowcone truck parked in the lot (on a wednesday) finished off a great morning

Excellent place for a run or walk... for anyone looking to exercise, this seems to be a mecca... run the stairs, the hill, the flat path along the pond (sorry, grew up on Lake Erie, this is a beautiful pond tho). Nice picnic grounds, and if you're a boarder the skate park looks great. Half pipe beside the skate park.... More

Mount Trashmore Park is our highest elevation here. It really is made of trash, with a good cover on it. The park is a great place for a walk around the lake, a picnic on the tables provided. On nice breezy days it is a very popular place to climb up the steps and fly a kite. There are even... More

Great park for those seeking a place to feel inadequate in a good way. I was winded going up the stairs for the view while theguy next to me was going up the hill itself with a car tire tied to his waist. There is a great kid park as well as a nice lake area and skate park. Fun... More

I walk and run Mount Trashmore almost every day when in town. If you are looking to run a 5K start at the first parking lot on the right off Edwin Drive from Independence. In the morning the lot is open as early as 7:30. Before that time you can park close to South Blvd on the left. To run... More

I come here just about every year when my grandkids are in town. Every now and then I come for the fireworks on the fourth of July. I would recommend this to any one looking for a nice place for children to play.

A great place to relax and enjoy some family time. The grandkids just love this place. Take the time to visit on you next beach trip. You will love it as much as we do.
