Tribal Axe is the very first indoor Axe Throwing range in Virginia. Axe throwing is a growing sport and it's fun. Throw axes at a wooden target in our axe throwing range! Axe Throwing is a fun time for your next date night, birthday party, bachelor or bachelorette party, team building event, corporate event or girl's night out! Tribal Axe is conveniently near Lynnhaven Mall (less than a mile away) on Central Drive in Virginia Beach. We have parking in the front and the back. Reserve your spot online today! Walk-ins are welcome, but please check with us first for availability.

Awesome date night! Happened to be on TA and saw they have a site. Booked our hour for Valentine’s Day weekend and I’m glad we did- they kept turning people away when we got there! Apparently it was their 2nd weekend open. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Happily surprised to see our session came with a coach who stayed with us and checked on us every 10 min or so. Taught us several ways to throw and how to play axe cricket. Loved the free water nearby too. We will definitely be back!! Very well run. Happened to get a sweet slo-mo vid of my hubs’ first bullseye too!! 🎯 🪓

Hector, our instructor, was welcoming, easy going and thorough (I mean these axes are super sharp ). What a great time to spend with my teenage son. We will definitely be back when we are in town.

Great concept. The act of throwing axes was enjoyable, but my safety experience tells me that the company needs to improve the training of the staff in safety awareness, modify their booking allocation and improve their safety zones. The company booked 8 people in a 2 lane area with insufficient room to comfortably or safely throw the axes. Most of the facility had sufficient safety zones, but our area did not. This is as much a spectator sport as a fun experience, and could have been so much better with a bit better safety built in, and to do it before somebody gets hurt.

Looks like you came in on a Saturday which is by far our busiest day. 4 people / lane is definitely enough room and we've had people tell us other facilities are much tighter with space and allow up to 10 people per lane!
We do try to accommodate everyone but we know there will be those that will always need more accommodating. So we will keep trying to do better.

I took my wife and our 14 year old daughter here for a little Valentine's fun last night. We had never done anything like this previously and it was a little bit of a step out of three box for my step daughter in particular but it was an amazing time. Ashley and Mike were awesome! They took the time to walk is through the process and Ashley went the extra mile to help my step daughter feel comfortable and have a great time. By the end of the night she wasn't scared of the axes anymore and was all about throwing them. I highly recommend this for an adults night out or as a family outing.

What a fun experience!! There were two teenagers and 6 adults and we were there for 2 hours and everyone got plenty of throwing time in and the girls were extremely friendly and helpful!

I booked this as a corporate group event for about 20 people and we had a great time! It was so easy to have my group sign the waivers online and that made the check in super easy! The servers and coaches were fantastic and attentive. All Staff was awesome!! I highly suggest this as a fun group event!

What a wonderful evening we had a Tribal Axe, kick-starting our son's 21st birthday. The location was easy to find, parking was a breeze as was booking online. We were a group of eight and shared two lanes for an hour. The length time was perfect and our coach, Rob, could not have been more helpful.
