My Wife and I made a quick stop by and enjoyed hiking on one of the side trails. It was her first time. She loved the legends of the place. Note: at the visitor center, you can get a guide for the location of where...More

Cabin 12 was fantastic. This park is gorgeous with a large, clean beach area. Cabin exceeded expectations, but if you're traveling with a crawler, foam tiles are a good idea. Otherwise, they provide clean sheets, soft towels, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, all the essentials and...More

I'm so glad you enjoyed your cabin stay at Fairy Stone State Park. Great tip about bringing the foam tiles. Many of our cabins there have tile floors (the log cabins have hard wood). Thank you for taking the time to write a review to...More

We took our kayaks and spent 6 hours exploring the small lake. We spent a few hours hunting for fairy stones, or staurolyte crystals, and we each found about 2 cups full. You don't have to go into the park or pay admission to go...More

I am glad you enjoyed your visit to Fairy Stone State Park. I bet the kayaking was great - with all the rain we have had the green is really popping out there, more than I have ever seen it. Thank you for taking the...More

Very nice trails for hiking with a family. Easy to find the park - several signs to help with the location from surrounding highways. My six year old had a great time finding a lizard, grasshoppers, spiders, etc. while on her hike. Download the map...More

Visited Fairy Stone for a day visit on the lake. Was a little disappointed the boat rentals didn't open until 11am and closed at 4pm. Would like to see extended hours especially on a weekend. The park was clean, the staff was considerate and helpful....More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. Our seasonal staffing is limited in April and the weather not always conducive for boating so our hours are limited. As we get closer to the summer we extend the hours significantly. I am sorry...More

This is a great park, good campsites, very clean and modern restrooms and bath house. Plenty of hiking trails, went looking for fairy stones, found small ones. Early in April we mostly had campground to our self. Too early in season for all concessions to...More

We visited on a weekday during spring break and the park was very sparsely used. System of multi-modal trails was impressive. Hike to the waterfall was easier than described. Accommodations appear basic and rustic and spread out. Park could probably use updating and more entertainment...More

As with other state campgrounds, there was water and electric only, clean bathrooms and showers, non-specific site reservations. Lucky for us there was little competition for spots and we got a pull-through. I did think the office was over-staffed while the lake's boat ramp was...More

My older grandchildren loved the raft and diving board. The little one loved the water play area. Both loved picnicking on the grassy area and Gramma didn't have to get sand in her shoes.

I think it was $5 but it is included in the camping fee. Check the website. I'm sure it's there.
