This place is popular with families of small kids. Not so great for teens or adults. Always overcrowded.

Local to the area so it was a very nice day trip. Cross between a community pool and a water park, this facility is a great way to spend a day with the family and kids. I encourage locals to visit and think you will definitely return for more visits.

We went here for a 3 year old's birthday party. My daughter (also 3) had a great time, but she loves anything with water. There are several water areas--a kiddy play area, a larger pool with bigger slides (and a height restriction), a sand box, a wet area that isn't in the pool with fountains and things, etc. The kiddy area is fenced in separately, which is great. However, it has the big water dump which encourages big kids to come. I really thing there should be some height maximums for that area. There also is not much shade and the shaded seats fill up fast. No outside food allowed, but htey have food for purchase. It's not too pricy if you go during their deal times. Get there right at opening for choice seats and less crowds. It is right near Algonkian Park and so you can play there too before or after the water park.

I took my kids here for the first time as I just discovered this hidden waterpark. parking is free, the price is cheap, and we all enjoyed the cool water a lot. There's a large pool with slides for the experienced swimmers. Then there's an area with sprayers, smaller slides and an oversized tipping bucket for the toddlers. That area can be taken over by bigger kids and even adults since the tipping bucket is there, but nobody is in any danager. My only gripe is that people will hoard the chairsas they are very limited. Other than that, great place to go on a nice hot day.

This is a fun day outing except that it was overrun with campers...one of which pooped in the pool. Grossed out! Yes, I know, poop happens and it could've happened on a day where there were no campers. Just sayin' use a swim diaper.

Took my little lady with me and we had a blast. Its a good little pool in our area. Would love to see them build a lazy river. They have the land to do it.

Came here with my family for a quick summer fun activity. We live about 2 miles away and didn't know about this little gem of a waterpark until today! It's very spacious and there are lots of activities for the kids and adults to do. Parking is a little weird but that's not enough to keep us from coming back again in the near future!

This is not a resort so when you go please don't compare it to The Great Wolf Lodge or Busch Gardens Water Country. This pool is so affordable. Free parking. No park entrance fee. Situated right next to the mini golf course. Buy the combo ticket and save for a fun afternoon out.

Once you pay, enter the changing rooms which have showers, lockers and toilets. When you're ready head out to the pool area. There's the main pool, a splash pad and a kiddie pool with tons of activities for the kids. A small snack bar is located at the back of the property. All food must be consumed in or around the snack bar.

Also know that you can only bring water to the pool. They don't check but it is enforced. As well the last 10 minutes of every hour the life guards take a break and everyone is out of the pool. Safety is a huge concern here. As a parent, I really appreciate that. Things stayed under control when we were there.

There are tons of chairs for use. Very limited shaded areas. I think management should consider adding a few more canopies.

Overall, a great day out. This is one of 5 pools run by VA parks. Well worth the drive from central Maryland.

The facility is quite nice. For kids 11 years old and under it is well suited. People have complained about the snack bar but I think this is a typical swimming pool snack bar. You should know what you're going to get.

We come here once or twice a year. I have found that the lifeguards are extremely nervous and authoritarian here. Clearly this is coming from management. Apparently they had an incident earlier this year involving a pair of goggles breaking and now swim goggles are no longer allowed on a slide.

My children are under 10 years old so I would like order to be maintained, however there is a constant shrill sound of whistles. The guards unnecessarily chastise people who were heading for the ladders and have already stopped the behavior they are being cited for.

We vacationed this summer at a giant commercial waterpark with much more difficult swimming conditions, and the lifeguards were much more relaxed and professional.

I would prefer that enforcement of rules also lead to challenging people who attempt to swim in street clothes instead of a bathing suit.
