Enjoyed a visit here and felt astounded when viewing all of these treasures and ancient artefacts I was annoyed when tourists blatantly disregarding instructions not to photograph in specific areas of the museum Seeing mummified bodies in close proximity was very interesting

A must to see, full of interesting artefacts I could have spent hours there so much to see, fascinating Egyptian history. It’s very warm in the museum so take plenty of water. You also need to pay if you want to take photos inside

It was a lot of information to take in. We didn’t opt for the tour guide! Mummy rooms were excellent! Artifacts were too many to see. It was great for the kids but they tired quickly. Don’t buy food or treats on premises as it is very expensive! An ice cream in a regular supermarket was 8EP and here it was 60EP…

We took a private tour on tours by locals, Ereen took us on amazing tours, however it is very disappointing how the government does not maintain anything, the museum is in a beautiful French style building that is falling apart, in 2020 they should be opening a brand new museum to house all these magnificent ancient works. There is an abundance of ancient artifacts to be hold. The Citadel is a good quick stop as the mosque is beautiful. The bazaar is good if you wish to buy souvenirs , but know that everything is made in China.…

I had an extremely interesting and amazing day with Susan my tour guide. She was very knowledgeable and excited about Egyptian history and gave a lot of info. No effort was to great and lunch was good! Really good day trip!
