Went out with a friend and ended up in Staunton VA. We stopped at Sunspots Studio and were treated to one of the artists just starting to create a vase. Clear glass, I thought. It was fascinating to watch as he went from the oven to sitting and spinning the glass, then back to the oven. Adding glass, more spinning,... More

Fun place to just stop in and watch a guy do his thing with glass blowing. 90% of what they sell here is made in the factory two people working blowing glass.

The workshop in the back is totally open for the public to watch the pieces being made, and they explain as they go through the process. You can sign up to "blow your own ornament" which in truth just gets you a closer look, and then allows you to blow through a tube for a few minutes, but it's still... More

The glassware that are found on the sales floor are absolutely gorgeous! The glassblowing demonstration was also fun and informative! The glass blower could have spoke a little more loudly for the audience to hear...but it was still audible! Great place to stop while in town!!!!

AMAZING collection of original hand-blown glass of all types. We stayed 3 hours and were treated to several artists working their magic at the kilns. The staff was very accommodating, and the prices are well within everyone's budget if you want to pick up special items like we did, or small things for Yuenger children. The showroom is expansive and... More

The glass collection is stunning. I have always found art made with glass media intriguing. The unique pieces in this studio while somewhat expensive are well worth the money. Our family went together for a glass blowing session to create tree ornaments. The associate was very informative and took the time to explain what was happening in every step. We... More

Doug Sheradin and his staff are really nice and helpful people. They put on a great show blowing glass and tell you all about the process while they're doing it. The Glass Festival is a blast. Highly recommend it.

Yes! You can blow your own glass ornaments here! You just need a reservation. We called and made an reservation for that. It was fun to see glass blowing up close, and blow one yourself. You don't need to pay to watch. You do pay for the ornaments you blow and a bit extra. The artist did a good job... More

My son and I enjoyed a lot the visit. They accommodated him to blow the glass even though we arrived a little late. Suggest you call ahead of time. You create your ornament and it is shipped for a total of $50 approx. otherwise you can just watch others do this.
