Roy's been stopping by for at least ten years. Always the best of fruit. I tried other orchard s in the area but Roy's the best. Not only fruit but produce, limited meat and diary. Then their is the sweets and cider too. Cash only. Peaches and apples by the bushel and pecks as well by the basket. I'll add Roy's a treat to speak with, a fine fellow.

Owners Roy and Janet are the hardest workers I've ever met--they take great pride in their orchard and garden produce; While there are fresh local fruits and veggies throughout the spring-fall, we particularly love their huge apple selection--and their unbelievable peaches. I have started making jars of fam just to preserve and share the latter.... Janet makes many of the fresh food items herself.

Their store stocks an amazing amount of food and other food related products--which is very helpful since the closest large store is 25 miles away!

I love that both Roy and Janet call us by name and epitomize the kind, friendly, grounded people with whom we chose to associate ourselves when we bought our weekend place over a decade ago. A stop by their farm is more than a stop for food or products--it's an experience that reminds me every time I visit that there are wonderful options to the city rat race....

My husband and I dined at The Inn at Little Washington last week. Inside the menu cover, the Inn lists some of their local suppliers for the ingredients in the wonderful meals they serve. Roy's Orchard was on the list. After determining Roy's was on the way back to the D.C. area, we decided to stop. And what a fun stop it was! Roy and his wife Janet, salt of the earth folks, warmly welcomed us. The peaches we purchased were some of the best we have ever eaten. My husband is already talking about returning in a couple of weeks for Gala apples. I know we will return often!

Was excited to buy peaches to bring home after visiting the Inn at Little Washington, and was thoroughly disappointed in the sales woman. She was rude and gruff for no reason. She did not want me to look at the peaches before buying them. I’ve never bought peaches, or any other fresh fruit, without inspecting. In the future, I will go to another local produce stand where the proprietor is nice and respects their customers.

We asked at the Inn, 'Where do you go to buy groceries? Culpeper?' Well, no, they go to Roy's. We were very surprised to find multiple structures in what would essentially be their front yard within which we found just about anything we might want -- including homemade pies. I'm glad to know of this place; the next time I'm in Sperryville I will definitely stop by -- especially at fruit season.

The fruits and summer vegetables are among the best quality and reasonably priced! The produce is of a superior quality and the owners are great people!

Roy's Orchard has many fresh vegetables, apples, peaches, fresh free range chickens, country meat for cooking beans and etc. Many items you just don't see in the chain stores. Try it you just might like it.

Parking is in the lawn, best suited for closed-toed shoes. If you're stopping at Cooter's it's a quick right out of their parking lot. See lots of apple trees when you drive up their narrow residential driveway. It's perfect for a quick stop; kids may even want to stay in the car while you shop.

I stopped by Roy's Orchard just to pick up some apples and left with a cornucopia of goodies! Picked up some fresh ground lamb, lamb steaks, hot sausage, sage sausage, country bacon, eggs (brown and blue!) and jellies. Everything tastes way better than if you get it at your regular grocery store. Even the bacon has a better flavor!

They only take cash so make sure you have some on you before you stop by since you'll want to buy everything in the store!
