This is where your new favorite whisky comes from! At Copper Fox Distillery we dedicate ourselves to making great American spirits by emphasizing a combination of innovation and tradition. We start from scratch, floor malting our locally grown barley, flavoring the grain with apple and cherry wood smoke, then aging with a progressive series of hand toasted wood chips in used bourbon barrels. All of our fine spirits are available for tasting and purchase at the distillery. We look forward to seeing you.

Over the holidays we dropped in for the first time to sample the beer and entertainment. We were a party of eight, of all ages, and we all agreed the ambience, while very rustic, was good fun. The band that night was good and it was fun to see dogs, kids and people of all ages enjoying the no frills... More

You certainly wont get wasted here but we had a wonderful tasting experience with the mother of the owner. She opened our pallets and educated us on the proper way to taste whiskey. Only $7 for 3 pours. We bought a bottle at the end of our adventure. Made here, in Virginia and truly yummy. Fun!

If you are excited about the single malt whisky scene in the United States, then this is the place for you. If you, like my wife and I, are into single malt scotch whisky then you will love the tour at this place. Our favorite was the rye whiskey and we can't wait to go back and visit. Just so... More

My wife and I visited the Copper Fox distillery this morning. My wife wasn't thrilled but said she'd go because she knew I was interested. We took the tour which lasted 30-40 minutes. Our tour guide did a great job of explaining the process as we went along. After the tour we were offered a tasting which was to sample... More

A must-stop if you're in the area. The tour--free--only takes about 20 minutes, but it's pretty cool. The tour guide--invariably summoned off one of the distilling tasks at hand--is totally laid back and knowledgeable. Whisky is being made as you walk through. While we were in the bottling area, the owner's wife was applying labels by hand--to the tune of... More

A short, yet great, small batch distillery tour allowing you for the visit to learn about the 'old' way to make delicious spirits from the actual start to the finished product. Can mostly see the whole process within one old grain house. A short walking tour which can typically be over in 20 minutes, yet you can lounge around after... More

The Copper Fox tour is great fun, educational (especially if you are inclined to try making your own distilled spirits) and the products are excellent. One recipient of the gin thought it was too "hot," but we have had only accolades for the whiskey.
