Take me out to the Ball Game

This was the first time that I had been to a ball game here since the team was called Salem Avalanche. It is still just as fun and family friendly as it was when I had been there... read more

This is a great family friendly thing to do. We went on military appreciation night, and while I was not really impressed with the military discount on tickets ($1 off a $12 ticket) it was still a worthwhile activity. The Mini Fenway is great for kids.

This was the first time that I had been to a ball game here since the team was called Salem Avalanche. It is still just as fun and family friendly as it was when I had been there before. The downside is that concessions are a bit pricey ($4.00 for a bottle of water) and we were there in a... More

Our trips to Roanoke are not complete without a trip to see the Salem Red Sox in Salem. What a great park! The setting is just beautiful. Looking out from the top tier you can see the mountains which seem to surround the park. We have been twice in the last 2 years as we live in Florida and visit... More

This is a large stadium. A little pricey for the family. Adults are $10 and kids are $9. Food is a decent price and average quality. Overall the baseball game was good. We are visiting from out of town. There are individual seats all over even for general admission. The mascot was fun for the kids. Overall we enjoyed the... More

The Red Sox stadium is a really nice venue to go see a ballgame with the friends and family. The food is actually really good, and on Thursdays they have discounted draft beer. Prices aren't extremely cheap, but they aren't outrageous either.

As they do most everything. You feel like you are at a major league ball park not the minors. Food from surrounding restaurants along with typical ball park fare. Very cozy park allows you to socialize with friends. Seems like when you come here everyone knows everyone.

Took daughter and grandson to the Ball Park for a Sunday afternoon game. Was the first time I have ever been to a Red Sox game. Really had a great day!

We paid $12 for front row seats behind home plate. Fantastic. Arrived to find that these seats come with waitress service, and she will bring you anything they serve in the whole park. Double fantastic. They have a bouncy house and "mini Fenway" whiffle ball field to keep the kids entertained. Triple fantastic. The mascot is a giant beagle named... More

Wonderful evening - temperature in the 70's - sky is clear and the game is full of good plays. Salem is hosting the Lynchburg Hillcats. It is the top of the 6th and Salem is leading 3 to 0.

We're new to the area, but we've already been to a few games this season. The quality of the stadium far exceeded my expectations! It's always a fun time to go, and they have a great beer selection (unfortunately at stadium prices). Lots of fun for couples or for family! They even do themed nights and sometimes fireworks. We caught... More
