This winery is fabulous! The location is lovely, the tasting room is beautiful, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the wines are delicious! We joined their wine club and love heading out there on a Thursday or Friday afternoon to relax and enjoy their wines. We just hosted our son and daughter-in-law’s wedding at Williams Gap the end of May. How fortunate we were to find this beautiful venue! The manager and staff were amazing. They could not have been more helpful! We are looking forward to many more visits to Williams Gap. Thank you for helping make our family wedding so very special!

The wines were ok. what made the review so low was the pours. It’s ok to make a just ‘ok’ wine. But if your going to pour a two sip glass for tastings, it’s hard to discern whether the wine is really good or not.

Title says it all. The vineyard is beautiful. The staff is friendly. The snacks were decent. The wines were terrible, though. We ranked this as the worst vineyard of the day. We did a tasting of 6 or 7 wines and none were good. This place had such potential. Don’t bother.

Beautiful vineyard and wine tasting space. We also had lunch here and the food was so fresh and delicious. Loved all of the wines we tasted, and our tasting guide was top notch. Cant wait to come back!

First time visit from new home in Sterling, VA. Very pleased with viewing the vineyard landscape on the drive in. Fortunately this Thursday was not a crowded day. Our group of 3 got to chat with the guests and bar tender. We got wine flights and food, and enjoyed the afternoon outside. Bought a white and red wine to take home. Wife and I plan to return.

This is a review from an actual patron who can prove that I've been there by producing receipts, naming the wines I've tasted, and providing dates and times for the times I've visited this establishment.
Date of experience: Nov. 20th, 2021
Wow! Just Wow! Monk's BBQ just catered my father's 80th birthday party at Williams Gap (WG) Winery and the event turned out better than we could have imagined.
Wendy, Monk's catering coordinator, and Bridgette, WG's Manager teamed up to deliver a party that left our guests complimenting me on our choice of venue and food. But it wasn't just about the caliber of event space or tastiness of cuisine that was served... it was about the professionalism of the staff that both the caterer and the winery provided.
The Staff: Both Paula and Nick from Monk's worked seamlessly with Renee and Susan from Williams Gap to insure our guests were well fed and well "wined." Paula and Nick's presentation and delivery (passing hors d'oeuvres) was about as efficient and professional as it gets. And the duo of Renee and Susan did an incredible job of keeping our glasses full of WG's excellent wine.
The Venue and management: Williams Gap Winery is one of western Loudoun's newest wineries, but their Manager (Bridgette Smith) is not new to the industry. As a matter of fact, she solidified her customer care skills in our minds (and hearts) at another winery in which she also managed. Needless to say, we were sad to see her leave. BUT, when we found out she took on the lead position at Williams Gap, we couldn't wait to visit and pick up where we left off. We were not disappointed!
The Food: Monk's BBQ is well known in Loudoun County for being one of the best bbq restaurants in the entire region. But what many of their satisfied patrons don't know about is that they have a top notch catering business that rivals other established caterers in our area. In fact, they were named Best of Loudoun's top caterer by Loudoun Now. And "Now" I know why! It starts with their catering coordinator, Wendy Eversole. Apparently, she was in the business for many years before going to Monks and is well versed in the culinary wants and desires of wedding, corporate and other private event clientele. So, walking a first-timer like me through the process was cake walk for her.
She suggested I go with hors d'oeuvres ranging from spinach & bousin stuffed mushrooms caps and individual fruit bowls, to sautéed shrimp skewers and an incredibly ornate cheese board. And, once again, their catering staff presented our tasty treats with the utmost professionalism.
I know this review is pretty long-winded, but we've shown loyalty to those restaurants and wineries who've taken care of us in the past. And being creatures of habit, it was an exercise of "leaving our comfort zone" by trying out a new winery and caterer for our special event... Williams Gap and Monk's really came through for us . They both get a A++, double thumbs up, and whatever else you can think of that justifies using either, or both, for your next event.

Great vineyard winery that offers decent red wines, not sure about the white wine since I am a red only kind of guy, great scenery; Amanda always goes out of her way to be a great hostess, the atmosphere is warm and inviting with exceptional views. Great place to bring you dogs and children, we became members and come on a quarterly basis if not more.

Wonderful winery, and family owned. So relieved to find beautiful views and quaint upscale setting….as our drive took as through many housing developments…glad someone didn’t sellout to a Developer. We selected a red tasting and decided on the mountain valley red, bright and fruit forward. The food selection was ample. Hope to visit again soon.
