Our hotel was near a quaint independent movie theater in an excellent section of Roanoke with several interesting restaurants and shops. The staff in theater were so friendly and helpful. Plus the admission price was so reasonable.

The Grandin is a classic, historic, independant theater that deservedly enjoys a lot of support from the Roanoke community. They show a mixture of first run films as well as other flicks and host provocative community discussions on topics that require something other than the banal chatter that is so pervasive on social media. If you go to see a... More

A more personal theatre experience. Broader selection of movies. Quaint and elegant. Nice change from the new chain theatres! Great restaurants near by. Highly recommend visiting this area. Almost forgot to mention the food market co-op across the street....

I love your theater. However, for a little over a year now, every picture I see in your main theatre has a sync problem between the picture and the sound. I first noticed it during the most recent Star Wars release. I've complained to your staff multiple times, and while they want to help, they cannot. Please fix this.

I always go with friends and have a good time because it's a classic atmosphere. I love the small theaters, the smell, and the fact they have smaller less mainstream movies. Great theater and in a great location!

Went with friends to the movie. Got popcorn before the show. Show was in small upper theater. Neat little movie house in Grandin Village. Local treasure!

It was a small and cute movie theater. They didn't have many movies or show times, but it was an old-style movie theater so we didn't expect much. The atmosphere was lovely, but I would say the screens are rather small, but this is because the theaters themselves were also very small. It's a nice cozy place to go with... More

The four of us traveled to see a movie at this old-fashioned theater. Although we planned dinner afterwards, both couples shared "large" bags of popcorn while enjoying the film in the upstairs small theater. (You have to be quite mobile to reach the top spaces.) Staff is most welcoming, the Sunday afternoon "crowd" quite small, and the overall experience pleasurable.

We come to the Grandin a few times per year. We come because we like coming to the Grandin and pick a movie after the fact, standing outside. It's always a lovely experience. Cost wise, it is on par with other theaters, but the snack bar is a cut above with some fresh baked goodies from the coop across the... More

As usual it is always a distinct pleasure visiting the Grandin where interesting movies are the usual fare.
