First off let me say this place is very beautiful scenery and clear water. It's a great place to spend the afternoon with friends or family. They offer a variety of activities such as kayaking, canoeing, fishing, hiking and picnicking. You can rent or bring your own equipment for water activities and it's very inexpensive. $7 an hour for kayak,... More

Beautiful area in the woods where you can kayak and fish. Have to pay for parking and for kayak rentals. They have single and doubles kayak.

We enjoy going to this area to enjoy the lake. We also enjoy hiking around the lake. It is very pretty. They have boats to rent.

Been awhile since I've been to the cove but a nice setting for individuals for different "needs". Mine was a nice walk with the water view, then sit for a nice read. (Again, had to put a date but it's been over a year since I've been there).

I've been numerous times over the years. Nice place to kayak, fish and hike. Peaceful and scenic. If you're looking for something to do then you can't go wrong visiting this place.

I went to Carvins' Cove to hike on a very windy day. I traveled the "green" trail from the boat launch. Luckily the trail was surrounded by trees and broke the wind to make for enjoyable weather for a hike. It was a nice day. Very peaceful. I met another couple out horseback riding and several families. Nice trails.

Carvins Cove is a great place to spend an hour or a day. Fishing, boating (your own or rentals), hiking, and beautiful views during every season. We used to be able to go park and just eat a quick lunch in the car, but there is an entrance fee now, even if you don't get out of your car.
