Awesome view and excellent white sangria
Oct 2020
The view from this winery is stunning, particularly at sunset if the fog/clouds cooperate. We had the white sangria and it was one of the best I have had. Very refreshing. They have music in the evening. Only open from 5p-9p.

Fun trip up the mountain to this beautiful spot. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Wine was good and the tasting was reasonable.

Wonderful winery with awesome views!

Stopped here on our visit to Roanoke Va weekend trip. High up on top of a mountain with winding roads up and down. Once at the top, the scenes are breathtaking. We did the 6 glasses wine tasting mostly reds and we enjoyed them very much we ended up buying 3 bottles to bring back home, plus the wine glasses. Highly recommend a visit on your way thru Roanoke.

Worth the trip!

Dry red wines were fabulous. We tasted off the reserve list. I highly recommend that. Staff was friendly and informative. Incredible view from the top of this mountain winery. Note: the drive up to this place is quite steep and winding. Don’t go in bad weather!

Nice Place To Meet Up
Aug 2018
We frequent this winery often - mostly because it is the best in the ROA valley. Great views. Nice tasting room. OK wines. We really like the Rheingold Chardonnay with A Thai picnic. If you are seeking a relaxed place to spend the afternoon, this is a great option.

Great views but only red wine
Jul 2018 • Friends
Came here with my friend because it’s local and neither of us had been. It is a windy road but nothing my focus couldn’t handle. We were the first ones there right when it opened. The ladies were very nice to us. The tasting room was pretty spacious... not to mention the view! We got all kinds of views from where we were standing. However, this place is specially known for their red wines, so there was only 2 whites. The wines we tasted were ok, nothing out of this world. There was a pitcher of sangria for $25 and we contemplated getting that and sitting outside with it, but even that was bad too. Thankfully they let us try it first. We also went on a day that they did a “tour of the winery” when really it was only a tour of the cave they kept the barrels in(not complaining about the cave, I just figured that there would be more to the tour than that). So if you like red wine and wanna chill on the mountain, this is your place

Awesome valley views!

Try the sangria. Go for the views! Take your own food and picnic. Wines are OK. Plan on going back on a Friday for their music party.

AWESOME VIEWS

Yes, it's a winding road to get here, but it's worth the effort. Some of the best views in the valley - even rivals Mill Mountain.

I'm not a wine expert, but I thought the wines were very good. Although not great food selections, this is a great venue for an event or wedding.

Great views of the Roanoke Valley, but only decent wine.

We like to visit here, but don't expect top of the line wine. The views are tremendous and they have some fun events on Friday nights like band nights that are great for groups. Depending on who you get to pour your tastings it can be a good experience or a bad one. If you're looking for something to do, it's worth a try.

Beautiful view. Terrible service. Small tasting room. Wines were not good. Only food available was left over from food truck.
