This is a cool place to visit if you haven't been. The view is amazing. You are allowed to bring your own food, and they provide a few tables and some chairs for snacking, drinking and gaming. There's really nothing else to do when you are there. I only give it three stars because the wine is sadly disappointing. If... More

Stopped here Saturday afternoon. They were having a win e tasting which was very nice and reasonably priced. Would recommend this location for relaxing after the day.

Valhalla is worth the trip just for the view but wow are the wines absolutely incredible! The Valkyrie is a red to die for...I was close to heaven due to the elevation but in heaven via my taste buds. Just excellent wine!

After reading the other reviews I agree with almost each one. The setting and location is super, the view is wonderful and the wine just ok. So maybe over time the wine will improve but the overall the trip UP to the mountaintop is fun and worth your time. You never know, but met a wonderful couple there and just... More

My wife and I visited Vahalla during our visit to Roanoke. The location is Great. Sitting on top of a mountain overlooking Roanoke and the surrounding area. We had the wine tasting and found a few we liked. One negative about the wine tasting, they seemed to hurry you through it. Didn't take much time explaining the wine. We did... More

We have visited several times, their wines are excellent, the staff is very accommodating and the views from atop the mountain are fantastic

Great wine with a beautiful view! Very knowledgable and kind staff! The drive back down the mountain could be a little tricky...

To get to the vineyard you have to drive up some very steep and curvy roads to the top of a mountain and it's not easy to find. At times the roads were very narrow and we were definitely thankful that we were in a vehicle with AWD. When we got to the vineyard we had reservations for a private... More

Didn't get to try anything since I had a dog with me (had been hiking), and was told they don't allow them. There was no mention on their website. I've been to wineries before that do allow dogs. Probably should've called ahead of time, but since the website didn't mention anything...nice view, though.
